Maytag  30'' 1.8 cu. ft. Microhood Combination Microwave Oven

I bought this for my wife because we have been unable to use our oven for baking because the thermostat clicks as its heating and it drives our 11yr old golden retriever crazy! It makes him shake all over, almost as bad as with fireworks. This has been perfect for us and we're finally able to have baked meals. I was getting a little tired of just microwaving. All of the features are great! It bakes fully and retains the moisture in food. I would definitlely reccommend this unit. Obviously we could really use a new oven to match! Even though ours is only a year old.

The overall look and performance of this microwave is excellent. I am looking forward to using the convection feature in the near future. I can heat water for tea in half the time of my old microwave!

I was going to go with a smaller Maytag microwave and I'm glad I didn't. The features on this one and the roomy interior make it worth the extra money. And it's absolutely beautiful, it makes even my older kitchen look great.

This is by far the best functioning microwave we have ever owned. As I recently returned to work, the versatility of the microwave/convection function working in tandem is a real timesaver. I would recommend this product highly. There is even a walk-thru demo mode programed right into the keypad that let's you view all of the functions without actually turning the microwave on.

The fan does not suck the vapors out of the inside of the microwave when things get steamy inside. Also do not like that when the microwave is done you have to hit stop for the clock to show. Our other microwave always showed the clock when it was done cooking. Otherwise the microwave cooked even and cooked the food fast.

THIS UNIT IS FAIRLY WELL CONSTRUCTED, AND HAS MANY OF THE TYPICAL FEATURES YOU'D COME TO EXPECT IN A MICROWAVE. IT DOES HAVE A CONVECTION FEATURE, WHICH I HEAR IS GREAT BUT HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO USE YET. IT IS EASY TO USE, AND DOES A GOOD JOB OF HEATING FOOD. IN PURE MW MODE, IT DOES HEAT MORE AROUND THE EDGES OF THE FOOD, BUT THAT IS TYPICAL FOR ANY MW OVEN. PERHAPS ITS STANDOUT FEATURE FROM THE MANY MODELS AVAILABLE TODAY IS ITS LOOKS. THIS MODEL WOULD LOOK GREAT IN ANY KITCHEN. ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE, THE EXHAUST FAN IS RATHER LOUD. ALSO, THE INTERIOR VENTING IS VERY POOR, AS A GREAT DEAL OF CONDENSATION FORMS ON THE INTERIOR WALLS WHEN HEATING SOMETHING. PART OF THIS PROBLEM MAY HAVE TO DO WITH THE INSIDE WALLS BEING STAINLESS STEEL, BUT IT SEEMS THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THE INTERIOR VENTILATION SYSTEM. AND SINCE ITS A DESIGN FLAW, LOCAL REPAIRMEN DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. IF YOU DON'T MIND WIPING DOWN THE INTERIOR EVERY TIME YOU USE IT, THEN I WOULD RECOMMEND IT, SINCE EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT IS GOOD. OTHERWISE, CONSIDER BUYING SOMETHING ELSE...

This microwave is easy to use, works like a charm and is very attractive. Besides the ease of having a convection feature, it's sensing features make it so easy to reheat items. I am so pleased we decided to purchase a Maytag because it's performance lives up to it's reputation!

PREHEAT IS ONLY GOOD FOR UP TO 350, IT WILL NEVER REACH 400 OR 450 AS PROGRAMMED FOR

We researched thoroughly for months before deciding on this unit. It took a little getting used to the convection features but once you get used to the time and temp changes from what you would normally cook something, it is amazing. I rarely use my regular oven anymore.
