Samsung  30'' Over the Range Microwave - Black

This product lasted about 10 months then randomly started powering down so the clock had to be reset, after unplugging for a while it would work for a day or a week you just didn't know. Then one day while heating coffee it started making a surging sound the light would get really bright then real dim, opened the door and there was a crackling sound and the light continued to pulse. I freaked out and unplugged, requested warranty repair on Samsung website, cost of repair was $250.00 which was covered under the 1 yr warranty. The repair shop replaced the control panel and magnetron which was shorting to ground. Guess I expected more out of a $300unit. I have a Cheapo GE that cooks in half the time this unit does. So buyer beware their microwaves work about as well as there cell phones do. No more Samsung for my family!!!

Overall this is a great microwave. It is spacious, powerful, well designed and feature rich. It's lighter than my old microwave, but the same size outside, has more internal space, has a turntable, has a cleaner design, is quieter and more powerful. I agree that the light is a bit dim. Also, you have to orient the fans in the back depending on how you will be venting. It's easy to do this before installing.

Just bought this microwave and am very happy with it. Looks great, got a good deal and does what you need it to do - some people are complaining on here that there is no one-push express cook button...who cares! So you have to press THREE whole buttons to get it to work! Cooks very well. The only thing I would change is the clock display - bad choice by Samsung to go with blue LED lighting - difficult to see from a short distance. Would have gone with a bright yellow. Great product!

I waited a few months to see how I was going to like this model... love it!

We have only been using this microwave for 2 days. I like the deep inside and the larger turn table. So far, it has worked fine. We have a hard time reading the blue led display. Also, the user guide should tell a person how to use the rack. I don't know what to do with it! In the good old days, manuals had recipes in them as a way to get acquainted with the product. We have had Samsung TV's before and have always had good customer service so I guess I will call them about the rack. Overall, this is a good product for the money.

We chose to replace our over the stove microwave with this Samsung unit. Installing it was easy enough. It has all the typical features other microwaves have. Other than the light over the stove top not being too bright, the unit does the intended job.

this thing heats good, but it viberates and is excessively noisy, this thing my be on it's way back to sears

Have never had Samsung brand and would have preferred something else, but gotta match door handle to fridge, for which I did not have a choice of brands. So far so good (10 days). Have not had chance to fully explore all functions. Let me review in 6 months or so. Getting used to the door that takes more effort and not as smooth to open and close than others used previously.

Bought this microwave a year ago. Used it 6 months. After warranty period it stopped working. Paid Sears repairman $107 to tell me that the parts are not available from Samsung. What a rip-off. No help from Sears or Samsung. Do not buy!
