Plenty of cooktop capacity for your cooking convenience - High Wattage coil surface elements, (two 8 in. 2,600W and two 6 in. 1,500W) elements provide four cooking zones to prepare a variety of dishes at the same time
Make the most of your oven space - 5.4 cu. ft. of capacity and a Hidden Bake element provides smooth, seamless oven bottom for extra capacity and easy cleanup
Keep close tabs on what's cooking in your oven with ease - the extra large oven window lets you easily see into the oven while food is baking so you don't need to open the door and interrupt the cooking cycle. This helps maintain consistent temperatures, saves time, improves cooking results, and reduces energy consumption
Eliminates time consuming, messy rack and drip bowl cleaning - you can leave these durable porcelain oven racks and drip bowls in the oven during the self-cleaning cycle and they wont discolor

I would not buy this model again ONLY because of the fact that the burner ring pans are a ceramic grey material that looks good until it gets chipped and stained in a VERY short time. To add insult to injury, the pans are CUSTOM to this particular stove so that replacements are hard to find and are incredibly expensive (over $30 for one!). We treat appliances with care, bought this range as part of a replacement set for our kitchen. This range has a good oven and is otherwise a decent product, but the "problem pans" for the burners have turned us off to this product.

I purchased this oven after a 2 month search for a new range, It had some nice features and I stand by Kenmore's reputation. I have other appliances by Kenmore and have had good luck with them.I purchased the coil top because I use heavy pans and due some canning. Upon delivery the top coils were unlevel and rock back and forth. Had service out and they bent them into place but every time you remove the coils you have fuss with bending them back into place so they wont't rock from side to side. The broiler feature has only 2 settings Lo and Hi . I like to broil steaks Hi sets them a flaming and low is to low they won't brown! The oven has it's issues also preheat time long the coil located under the bottom sounds good but has it's drawbacks. I was making yorkshire pudding and some of the oil and batter leaked onto the bottom of the oven and smoke was bellowing out the top of the stove not good the smoke ruined my pudding the bottom is extremeley hot with the coil under . I have to use underliner pans while baking pies and yorkshire pudding. They are affected by the extra pan take longer to cook and rise slowly!! Everyone knows the success of a good batch of yorkshire pudding is in the rise!!! The large glass door has dark heat streaks in between the glass you have to disessemble the whole door to clean it. After three months of use the bottom oven porcelaine is begining to crack form the intense heat of the coil under it!! another servie call YIKES!! If you do a lot of cooking beware of this one you won't like it!!

PracticalVery happy with this purchase. Great value! Looked at smooth tops and got scared off by the list of things (like the cast iron skillet we use almost daily) that will scratch the top. We have multiple children at various stages of learning to cook, so easily scratched is not a good characteristic in our home.
Oven settings bake hotter than our old Whirlpool, so we're having to adjust recipes. I'm going to get the owners manual back out and see if there's a way to calibrate the temp. control so we can bake, per the recipes, and not burn the bottom. Haven't used the warming drawer for warming yet (it's full of pan lids).
This range is dangerous! The stove top and surround heat up so bad my grandson reached just above the oven door handle and burnt himself! My husband was cooking and his belly touched the front and he got burned. The cook top heats up so bad it burns your food spillage and you have to really scrub it get it clean. The coils are uneven and the splatter trays are cheap!! I contacted them and well, they will give my info to the correct people. I have never been so disappointed in an Kenmore item...guess now I see why they are struggling! A waisted $500.00! It made me pick a star or I would not even have given it that!
Cooking enthusiastI owned another brand--40 in. size range for 36 years. My new range is inferior to my old one. The new range seems to have little to no insulation. The oven heats up (at 350 degrees) the whole top, so much so that you can not lay your hand on it, esp. the back left eye that ventilates the oven, and the bottom drawer gets very hot just from the heat of the regular oven. The oven does not let me bake and broil at the same time, which I miss. As for the style, I ordered white--there is no touch of chrome or black anywhere to break the color scheme.
I bought this to replaced an old old range but was dissappointed with the top coil elements. I used it for 3 months and then the 8" coil element gave in due to the melted of the triangle part that hold the coil so I got a new coil replacement still under warranty. Now a year later all the coils gave in. I believe the metal used is sub-standard. These coils are not cheap so I'm afraid if I have a new coils replace it would gave in again.
