My wife and I purchased this unit right before christmas and have had a chance with all the holiday cooking to put it to the test. It passed. Warm up time, 350, I just tested 11 minutes, not unreasonable considering the extra space and and easy clean up that the hidden element gives you. Put my prime rib roast in before we left for church to cook with the delayed cook setting worked perfectly. Cookies, pies, ham, pizza. and dips all came out perfect each time no burning or cool spots, very evenly cooked. I will say though that the broiler works and works fast, at 4000 watts it is what you expect. My oven does not have the power boiler option, but I didn't have any problem getting the burners hot enough and quickly enough to make hard candies and peanut brittle (sp). Two cons: The warming drawer is nice, but we usually use it as storage and the pots do seem to get quite warm even with it being set to the off position. If you plan on using it for storage primarily I would recommend looking at the model right below this one and saving around $100. I am sure there might be more differences but the 2 that stood out were oven and broiler elements being weaker in the other model. The 2nd con is I see the price has dropped $40 since my purchase so have to call and see about getting that taken off. Over all I am very pleased so far, we just did a months worth of cooking in 3 days and it held up and met our expectations.

I bought this model because it was so highly rated by Consumer Reports and I have always bought and liked Kenmore appliances in the past. It looks great and looks more expensive than it is. I have only had problems with things burning in the oven when I have used dark non-stick but that may not be the oven's fault...I may not have adjusting the temp accordingly for using dark non-stick. My big complaint is the cooktop. It works great but boy does it scratch easily. I use the recommend cream after each use, don't drag pans, etc. All my pots and pans are new high quality brands that are approved for use on this type of cooktop. I have had the oven only 6 months and there are already quite a few scratches on the burners that are used the most so I am worried what the cooktop will look like after a couple of years of use. I did buy the extended warranty though so if it continues to scratch I may have it replaced.
We purchased this stove in 2006. (have had it for 3 years). Recently, we discovered our oven does not turn off. We have to hit the circuit breaker in the garage to turn off the oven each time. We are so far avoiding a service call. (didn't buy the warranty plan). My husband is good with computers so he's able to replace the board himself. But it will still cost us over $200.
I don't think we'll ever buy a Kenmore again. We recently bought LG washer and dryer thru Sears and are extremely happy with LG's.
I just think having a stove for 3 years and suddenly faults is extremely surprising...and very disappointing!
I would advise anyone to avoid the electronic bells and whistles - they look great, but not very reliable always.
I have cooked on this stove for 12 months now and hate it. The top is really hard to keep clean, it takes forever to preheat but the worst is the dual burner. If I use the small center burner, it will not heat a pot of water unless it is on high and if I use the larger outer burner I have to cook on 2 or everything burns or boils over. The dual burner will also not keep a consistent heat as it turns on and off by itself. It will glow red and then go dark. I took a Chinese cooking class but can't cook on this stove because the heat will not remain on. I purchased this stove because Consumer Reports gave it a high rating. Usually, they are right but not this time.

I had this oven only 2 years and the thing started to fall apart. Boy, they don't make appliances like they used to. I had my last stove 13 years before I bought this one. The door handle broke causing the entire glass front to fall off and bend the metal casing. At the same time the front burner stopped working. I had a repair man come to evaluate and the cost was $450 to repair, over half the cost of the stove. What a joke!! We didn't buy the extended warranty which I now regret. Live and learn. On a positive note the stove worked well and was very large however, it did take a long time to preheat. The cook-top was easy to maintain and I loved the warming drawer.
