The vent free "feature" means that the lint goes somewhere, unfortunately that means inside the guts of this machine. You literally have to dismantle the machine and reach deep down inside with a hanger or vent brush (something that LG knows but does not tell customers or service techs.) When the lint builds up, the dryer just stops working. Since there is no indicator or error message, it is trial and error to find the cause, and quite expensive to boot.
Absolutely would not recommend this or other LG appliances, customer service is dreadful.

I purchased this washer/dryer approximately 2 years ago. I lived in an apartment & had limited space & no washer/dryer connections nor a 220v outlet in my unit. After much research I found this washer/dryer was compact enough to be mobile & runs on a 120v outlet. Virtually no increase in my electricity bill! The washer has all the features of a regular size washing machine. Laundry comes out very clean & softner fresh. This is a small unit but I am able to fit approx 2 queen size sheet sets for a full load. For 1 or 2 people if you do laundry once a week it honestly is no big deal. The dryer part could have a few more features-currently only timed options but it does dry the laundry. A fault of the dryer is THAT it takes about 3hrs to completely dry a load. Also, you can not use dryer sheets due to the drying technique. A great feature is that a load can go from wash directly into drying mode. Set it & forget it! A load of sheets/towels I can set to wash & dry overnight. They're good to go in the morning. Too bad it doesn't come in a full size version. I recommend this unit to anyone that has limited space but needs & washer & dryer.

The ventless wash/dry combo is tremendous. Once in awhile the load may not be completely dry and needs to set out for 1/2 hour to finish but when weighed the numerous benefits, this is the way to go. Already my electric (not 220amp anymore), water and laundry soap costs have dropped. We use much less soap and water since loads are smaller and much less electricity on dry since it is only 110 and not 220. Even with smaller load size, I do not really do more loads... just better organization of what I do dry. When a cycle is running, you can barely even hear that the machine is on. Well done LG!

I've had the 24" combo washer dryer for about 2 months now. It is well-built, and runs a complete wash/dry cycle much more quickly than my old set of stackables. The only downside is that some cycles (and things that you ought to do for maintenance, like leaving the unit's door open after a completed cycle to let it dry out and help prevent mildew) are less than intuitive. Read the manual and follow the instructions, though, and it works quickly, quietly, and efficiently, all while taking up much less space than a traditional washer/dryer set.

I am very happy with the unit so far. Washes cloths MUCH better than my previous GE unit (didn't last even 6 years). Drying cycle a bit confusing... I guess you can not dry something without rinsing/spinning before in the same cycle. Other than that no problems for now but reading reviews about lint clogging dryer with no way to clean it without service call make me a bit scared.

I am currently a tenant in a condo that is three flights of stairs up. It is not a very large condo, so it was to my surprise and delight to find that inside one of the closets was this washer/dryer combo. Now, however, I regret ever moving in here for the sake of having so many of my clothes ruined due to this washer. From day one I have followed instructions, using proper amounts of high efficiency detergent (which costs extra) and softener. I RARELY ever used hot water in the past on any of my clothes. I carefully manually set the wash cycle to the cold setting and the dry cycle to low heat since it was a smaller load. The timer showed that the load would be done in THREE AND HALF HOURS. I have never heard of a SMALL load taking so incredibly long. When the load was finished, I opened the door to find my clothes still drenched and scorching hot. This is also after several minutes of being done because the machine will not unlock the door immediately. My next attempt I set it to the wash only with cold water setting, thinking the heat came from the dry cycle and that maybe I could just hang the clothes. This time the timer said 40 minutes. After it was done, I again opened the door to find clothes so hot that it burned my hands. Needless to say, every item that has been washed/dried in this machine has been ruined. I now wash my clothes at the laundromat. Do yourself a favor and save LOTS of money and TIME and buy a separate washer and dryer.

When my stackable washer from another manufacturer broke, I agonized over selecting another washer/dryer. I am so glad that I chose this machine. It is a joy to use and I love the little tune it plays when the wash is done. The clothes are clean and fresh. I am delighted with the machine which by the way I call EDNA. Edna is a good looking addition to our family! Customer support is excellent. I will buy LG products from now on.

I first started using this w/d combo at least a year ago when we down sized from a 3B/2BA house in Florida to a 1B apartment in North Carolina (and we have since moved back up to a 3B duplex). My husband had moved in about 2 weeks ahead of me and was unable to figure out how to dry the clothes. So I viewed it with some trepidation. The first thing I did - which I really recommend to everyone - is to read the manual. It really explains everything you need to know. I was thrilled to learn that the combo only needs about 2 tablespoons of detergent to wash, a bit concerned that I would need to clean the tub each month, but really excited that I could set it up to dry clothes. Imagine how impressed I was that my first load actually cleaned out some previous set-in stains. A couple of things to keep in mind - I have found that one big reason why clothes wrinkle is if they are washed on the wrong setting per the manufacturer's instructions - if the wash instructions say gentle cycle, do not throw it into perm press; do your monthly cleaning, it's really easy; let the load cool down a bit after the spin/dry cycle. Also, do make sure you run the high speed spin to level the appliance before using - we only used the moderate one and it danced across the floor the first time I used the high speed. I really rave about this machine. I will never go back to a conventional appliance. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star is because this model does not have a compartment for bleach. In fact, I convinced a friend of mine to buy the larger size recently for her family, which does have a bleach compartment - she likes it too. What else can I say? It looks great, sings to me when a load is finished and keeps me excited about washing clothes.

I love the All-in one. It does a great job on the laundry. It fits well inside my condo without taking up a large part of my closet. It does take time to get through both wash and dry cycles, but worth it.

The washer/dryer combo was installed in a hall closet so I wouldn't having to go down stairs to do the laundry. I really enjoy NOT having to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer if i'm in the middle of a project. I still have a problem keeping the loads small enough not to cause wrinkling (which is a real problem, causing me to iron more than I'm used to.) The "Custom Option" gives you many more varieties of combinations than the pre-set options. I dry my lingerie and my husbands compression socks as I have no place to hang them and I can set a low heat dry cycle with the Custom setting. Looking forward to trying additional settings. I would definitly recommend this appliance to small families with limited space.

I am very happy with this washer/dryer combo. I've had it for about a year and have had no problems with it. I live in NYC and it's great to have this little machine at home. Beats going to the laundry mat! I just put in a reasonable load and am off to work. I come home and voila! it's all dry and ready for folding! Can't beat that!!! I hope LG continues to make washer/dryer combos!!!!
