It makes doing laundry less of a hassle June 12, 2010
I specifically wanted to buy a GE dryer, because I own a GE washing machine. So far, this GE dryer hasn't let me down.
I was trying to keep costs at a minimum when considering purchasing a dryer, and this machine is a great deal for a great price.
I am very satisfied with the machine, and can barely hear it running from the laundry room.
The controls are simple but adequate, and the features meet my laundry needs- I try to do large loads, instead of small or specific types of loads. The drying cycles work quickly - especially compared to my old unit. I like the up-front and easy lint filter as well.

Terrible! Clothes get caught and it leaves burn marks July 01, 2010
I have had this dryer for a few years. For the past 6 months or so it has been burning my laundry. I am not sure what is happening, but it seems like thinner fabrics such as a t-shirt get caught in the drum and they get burned. brown sincge marks are no found on my sheets as well as many shirts. I now line dry until i can get a new dryer. DO NOT BUY THIS !!!!!!

Have had this dryer for approximately 9 months now and it is already performing poorly. After running it for an 80 minute cycle the inside of the door is all wet, it leaves a small puddle of water on my floor just under the front left corner of the dryer and the clothes feel like no heat has gotten to them at all. Lint screen is easy to clean but a lot of lint gets under it and collects in the front bottom of the dryer which I cannot get to it to clean out. I would not recommend this product at all unless you want to go out and buy another one within a year. Very disappointed in it.
