No Dryer Drum Light,Pricier than separate units,No Dryer Moisture SensorIt fit perfectly in the closet where my old 24" stack unit was, and provides about 50% more capacity than before. Doing fewer loads is a big plus! Access to the washer drum is tight, with the dryer above, but it is white, and not too deep, so small items are easier to see and reach. (like jewelry and lost change) I found not overloading will minimize wrinkles, enhance rinsing and speed drying as well.
While a front loader might be quieter washing, those units run so much longer per load, and have an obnoxious spin whine, I couldn't stand it. Also, with mildew and reliability problems as well, I feel I made the best decision with this combo unit, reducing the amount of time the unit runs, repairs, and utilities consumed.
Having had great success with Whirlpool in the past, and this 27" thin twin has been in use for years now with absolutely no problems, I believe Maytag and Kenmore share the same mechanicals, so they may be functionally similar.

Pros:
Nice, neat and compactMy very first set of washer adn dryers were from sears. Whirlpool brand is great, afforable and last forever it seems like. The last set I had was not stackable but I enjoy the stackable much better now. It leaves more room in the laundry area for other things.
You cannot go wrong with a washer / dryer from sears.
