    The Kenmore Elite Washer will wash tons of laundry!! April 10, 2011

    I love my new washer as it will hold tons of clothes and they all came out so clean!! The only thing negative I would even start to say is, due to it be high efficiency it does take longer to wash a load of laundry, but I hardly noticed it due to the fact, what used to be two loads of laundry now is one.

    A Down Pillow Downer! January 06, 2011

    I had hoped this large machine would preclude costly trips to the laundromat with down pillows and other highly buoyant items; however, even on the cycle recommended for such items ("Bulky/Bedding"), down pillows merely float to the top of the water and barely move an inch during the entire wash/rinse cycle. If I try forcing them to the bottom, an error message appears and I have no choice but to drain the tub. I've even tried saturating the pillows with water first and/or loading heavy towels on top of them to no avail. For everyday items, the Kenmore Elite HE top-loader is a delight, but don't count on it to do a front-loader's job on down pillows or highly buoyant items.

    We bought this high-efficiency top-loading washer when we moved into our new home. My wife sings nothing but praises. No doubt this washer will serve us a long time just like previous Kenmore washer.

    Model #79629002000 takes TOO long to do any type of wash. Normal/Casual wash takes 95 minutes using tap cold water, full load (manual says 43, machine shows 55). Express wash takes 80 minutes with 1/3 load using tap cold water (manual says 35, machine shows 35). Service man replaced the ETC control panel and sensor assembly. This fixed the constant UE error code(unbalanced load). But the duration problem is STILL a problem. Another service call to be made.

    Do not buy! Stops almost every wash and have to adjust the clothes big or small loads! Had repair man come out 3 different times after we bought it and they couldn't help me! piece of junk! already adjusted my clothes six different times on the same load tonight! Just heard it beap again which means it's stopped! Did a hand wash load and it's been 3 hours already and still not done! Very disappointed!
