First time buyer of a what I thought was a high quality machine. Less than 6 months time the lid where you poor bleach started rusting. It then ended up all around the top. This was replaced with new top. 60 days later the new top began to rust and this one was worse. February brought a recall for the mother board for machine. Sears installed it. They failed to tell me that of the 14 settings I would only be able to use 7 after this and none of the 10 setting choices. A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't understand the negative reviews of this washer. I have had mine almost two months and it: (a) does an excellent job of cleaning all sorts of clothes; (b) is extremely quite, even during spin cycle; and (c) is easy to operate. I would highly recommend this washer.

so far no problem works great easy to use.

Does not get even lightly soiled clothes clean, I use extra soak, and extra rinse - then it takes approx 2 hours to do a small load of clothes. Some clothes come out of wash barely wet, Yes, 'careful' placement of the clothes can eliminate coming home after a full days work to find the machine had stopped 5 minutes into the wash cycle; as It will not work its way through an uneven load. This machine is horrible. Had a tech out, who says unfortunately it is working the way it is designed to. Sears will not replace or exchange. I run all clothes through 2 wash cycles now - it is ridiculous.

This is the best washing machine I have ever used! My laundry doesn't get tangled up at the end of the cycle either. It does a great job cleaning my clothes too! One thing to remember when using this washer is when putting clothes/towels/etc into the washer tub, act like the agitator is in the center. Drape your clothes/towels around the outside of the tub keeping the center open and visible. This washer can hanlde cleaning alot of stuff, but use common sense. Don't overload it and expect your laundry to come out clean.

This series of washer will nickel and dime you to death. I've spent more repairing this machine in several years than I did on my last washer (Maytag) in over 20 years. The electronics go out, bearings have been replaced twice and are going out again. Get a cheaper machine without the bells and whistles. FYI, Sears only guarantees their parts and labor on repairs for 90 which is ridiculous. Stay away from these machines!

Just replaced our 18 year old Kenmore washer and dryer with this set. Hope to get 18 years out of this set as well. Cleans very good, is quiet, and easy to use. Yes the wash cycle is longer and yes it operates differently than non high efficiency lower capacity washers, but if you use the features, like extra water if required, and do not overload, and spread the clothes out, you will not get wrinkles and clothes come out very clean. Read the manual, it tells you everything. The dryer is very good as well. As long as you understand the features and use them correctly, this is the best washer for the money for sure.

I bought this set on Black Friday - great deal! I was afraid of purchasing a high efficiency set because of the water level or lack of in the washers. This washing machine has an override button where you can add more water if you desire, or you can just switch to the bulky bedding cycle where it doesnt weigh the load, it fills it to the top and the clothes move about freely in the water. We have had the set since November, and have had no complaints or issues with it at all! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Very hard on clothes. No iron shirts come out hopelessly wrinkled. Large capacity but must use different cycles for different types of clothes to get decent performance, so you do 6 smaller loads that take an hour each. It will wash a bunch of towels though.

I love the machine, but it doesn't get heavily soiled clothes clean. My son works at a garage and gets pretty dirty from time to time and I find I must wash his clothes at least twice and pre treat them where as with my old agitator I didn't have to do that.
