Compared to my old top loader..... well, there is no comparison. I received my washing machine the day after I ordered it....thanks Sears!! I have a six month old baby and there is not a day that I am not doing laundry so this was a huge bonus. My husband and I set up the machine ourselves, very easy to do. I am amazed at the amount of laundry you can get into the machine... what used to be two loads is now one! As well, the amount of detergent used is so much less I was worried my clothes wouldn't be clean.... boy, I was wrong! My clothes are so much cleaner now! However, the best part is the amount of time to dry. We didn't purchase the dryer yet (our old one still works well) and with the new washer, I only have to run the dryer once to get two loads of clothes dry!!
There are a couple of downsides to the washer. The first is you can't change the water amount if you want to do a smaller load. As well, I've had to reset the machine two times so far (just unplug and plug back into the wall as per the owner's manuel). Also, if the load is too heavy, I've had to take things out and put them on spin again because otherwise they were sopping wet. Despite these quirks, I think this machine is wonderful. My clothes are clean, soft, and I'm helping the environment (and my water bill-40 gal compared to 14 gal with each wash)!

Last night we went to sears and bought this washer, we needed to get it now and bring it home as my last one that was old had broken. So we brought it home, set it up and leveled it..first load went well until it got to the spin cycle..then it went to affinity..maybe that is why it was named that...shook so bad, I thought the house was going to fall in. I have also posted a viedo. Thankfully Sears has 90 day return policy. We are bringing it back in the morning. Don't buy this..

I have owned this Frigidaire washer for three years and until recently I was happy with it. Beware, front load machines are prone to mold and mildew buildup that will smell and get all over your clothes. Google front load washer and mold (Frigidaire has class action lawsuits pending on this issue). This is happening with all major brands. I wish I had known about this because I need to replace it and go back to the top load.
Clothes are coming out of the wash with brown goo all over it. The machine smells like mildew. Frigidaire will tell you that you must clean out the rubber gasket after each wash and leave the door open so the gasket will dry out. Once a week you need to run a hot cycle with one cup of bleach.
To replace the gasket (mine is currently covered in mold and mildew) costs $400 (parts and labor). The repair service told me this is not a permanent fix and the mold will recur. Just passing this on ... I wish I had been more informed because I would not have bought a front load washer. Not worth it!!!
