Whirlpool Cabrio Washer cleans clothes great. October 03, 2010
Love this Washer, some of the cycles take longer, but is worth it for the water and electric savings. It is great for washing comforters because you don't have to struggle around an agitator. The drum is really roomy. If the items are put in properly, they do not tangle. This is a great buy, but is costly to purchase.

I am a huge whirlpool fan. I will not even let the salesperson try to talk me into anything else. We had a whirlpool duet with steam set but sold it with our house. When we moved in an attempt to save money I bought this washer and dryer set. I do not have a problem with the dryer but I am very unhappy with the washer. It is loud and makes a growling noise when in use. I feel like my clothes are not getting clean as I can still see chunks of the soap and debris on the clothes when they come out. Whenever I wash blankets, they get pulled over the center and do not even get wet in the middle so I know they are not getting clean. I called Sears and they are delivering a duet with steam set next week. That is the washer and dryer I highly suggest!!

Whirlpool Washer failed in second year... January 02, 2012

Bad QualityI started out loving this machine - it was quiet, powerful and a great washer for my small family. Unfortunately, in its second year (literally the second year of purchase, and one year out of warranty), the machine started getting LOUD during the spin cycle. Come to find out, the Tub, Bearings and Shaft needed to be replaced. On a two year old washer from Whirpool! I was shocked and VERY disappointed. The cost to replace? $437 (parts and labor). Ouch. If you buy this item, PLEASE invest in the extended warranty.
I called Whirpool to find out if there were defects - even though it was out of warranty. None were reported. I guess I got the lemon. TO BE FAIR: Whirpool offered to replace the parts ($308) of the total repair job - I agreed and we are having the tub and bearings replaced now.
Again, the customer care team was very fair, and I hope this will be the only issue we have with the washer. I just wonder what's going on at Whirpool - surprised and disappointed. It'll certainly make me think twice about purchasing an item from them again.

Agitator tangles clothes,AVOID THIS MACHINE!,CLOTHES OFTEN SMELL MOLDY,junkAll green appliances are junk ! they cost 3 times as much and last 1/3 the time of the old ones . Stay away from all of these applaiances . If you are worried about going green think of all the ones that dont last that are in the land fill . I still own a dryer from 1984 that i use on a regular basis at my shop . but yet at home iv been through 3 dryers in the past 15 years , which is how old the 84 dryer was when i removed it from my home for its looks .

Bad QualityWe have owned this machine for 1.5 years and the spin cycle no longer works. Paid $700. for a piece of junk! Very dissapointed in Whirlpool!
