Very good dryer except for lint filter April 25, 2010
I bought this dryer for $540 that included free delivery after rebate. The dryer dries clothes well, as you would hope to expect from any dryer. The one problem it has is with the lint filter. The lint filter is inside the dryer rather than on top (that's not the problem). The lint filter is too small to hold the amount of lint from a normal load. As a result, when you open the dryer, as the clothes fall out into your basket, some lint comes along with it. A light film of lint also ends up on the inside of the door on certain places (you can wipe it off with your hand). Overall, I think this is more of an annoyance than anything else. However, this bothered my wife so much that we ended up returning the dryer. My wife does alot of laundry; the lint filter situation just kept bugging her with every load as lint would fall into the basket along with the clothes. So, if you decide to purchase this dryer, just be aware that you will have extra lint cleaning to deal with. There are many other dryers that have the lint filter in the front of the inside of the dryer, but those dryers have a larger lint filter. The designers of the DPSE810EG made that one mistake with the lint filter size.

Buy something else March 21, 2010
We bought this dryer because it was top rated by ****************. We had it for 6 months when it started to make a loud squeaking noise. It was covered under warranty but after 4 months and three repairs, it's still not fixed. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.

NoisyThe unit dries clothes fast, clothes come out pretty well wrinkle-free, and the lint removal is a pice of cake. BUT the thing whines! It's not that the signal is making noise (more on that in a moment) because it sometimes does it as soon as it is turned on. Other times not at all. It's annoying. The "clothes are dry" signal is a joke. You simply cannot hear it unless you are in the same room.

The 4.a IEC cu ft. capacity is truly colossal. It handles our super large loads very easily, and in less time. The RainShower rinse system makes me feel good about doing laundry in a greener way. It saves 51% in water usage compared to a non-Energy Star qualified GE topload washer.
Did I mention the dreamy silence? the HydroWave with infusor wash system is designed to be incredibly quiet, so my husband and I can watch our favorite shows and have the volume not intrude on our neighbors noise space.
The spin cycle turns so fast....700-RPMs you do not need as much drying time, the clothes have so little moisture left in them. The rack inside the dryer for shoes,hats, is great.
The precisefill auto-load sensing technology measures my load size and adds just the right amount of water for the perfect wash results. It also meets the CEE Tier II energy rating.
My old washer used around 23 to 43 gallons of water to saturate my loads, but this new, amazing machine,( by not having an agitator, but instead an infusor), provides so much more space to do bigger loads, and uses as few as 16-24 gallons of water per load.
I am feeling so green right about now, I could grow leafs!
Just a note: These machines are not only energy efficient....they are quite sexy too.
I mean they are sleek, and the champagne color of the control area is classy.
Not to mention: The delivery was impeccable, down to the time and the attitudes and professionalism of the two men.
