Had less than a year, broken now for 5 weeks and Sears is handling it horribly. Do not recommend the washer. Apparently there is a common problem with these, so do not go down this road if you can avoid it.

The Kenmore He5t washer and dryer combo are excellent especially when they are purchased with the pedestals. They look very sleek and modern, offer steam which is a feature that has become a selling point for many people, and is overall capacity and performance. The only downside I would say is that yes, it is a bit pricey, but it's a Kenmore...they're built to last. The pedestal drawers are great for extra storage and add conveinance so that you don't have to bend over to load and unload laundry. With all the cycle choices there will never be a load of laundry that it won't be able to handle, plus, it's not too confusing to change settings. With a washer and dryer pair like this you just want to show it off to everyone!

THIS WASHER IS JUNK.WORKS FOR A MINUTE THEN STOPS.I WOULD NEVER WANT ANYBODY TO GO THOUGH WHAT I DID WASHER AND DRYER AT HOME BUT HAVE TO WASHER AN THE LAUNDRY MAT. AWFUL

I've owned and operated by Kenmore Elite He 5 washer for several months now and I love both of them. They are front loaders stacked with dryer on top.
As for the washer: Pros: The detergent, softener and bleach all go in the pull out drawer in their own section like the commercial washers. You can set up your own cycle and click a button to remember it. Then when ready to do the next load, you just press that button and it sets and starts itself.
Cons: Place to put bleach could be bigger. If you put in too much softener, it can get stuck in the rinse holes. I use a toothpick to loosen it up and get it out. If you watch, you won't have this problem.
As for the dryer: Pros are easy access, no bending over. Cycle times vary and can be set for what you want.
Cons: Don't really have any.
I'm still waiting for the washer and dryer that gets the clothes themselves too.
