    Kenmore High Efficiency Front Load Washer April 12, 2011

    My previous eleven year old washer broke, and luckily I found a great deal in Sears.

    Replace both washer and dryer to get more energy efficient appliance.

    So far I am finding the washer doing a good job. The only thing which we need to take care for any front load washer is open after using to dry out the water otherwise it will smell, a good tip given by Sears sales person

    Didn't work as advertised.

    *Don't believe we saved any water, wash cycle repeated/lasted longer than expected.

    *It's ben eight and It's time to replace. Any appliance should last a minimum of fifteen years trouble free. The Kenmore didn't

    *Used more electricity than expected, because cycles repeated/lasted to long.

    *Noise:

    *after eight years started getting fault message F06 electrical, then 7H no explanation

    *motor is making a clicking sound

    *Vibration damping inadequate

    *side not Dryer would stop and the close would still be damp

    *better to put money towards another machine (not a Kenmore or its affiliates) than waste the money trying to fix an unknown problem. Even the experts can't tell you what is wrong. They just start replacing parts until the problem goes away. If they get lucky, they fix it with the first guess. If not, you pay for them to come again and again to guess again and again. Which YOU pay for. Not much of an incentive to get it right the first is it.

    Kenmore NOT the brand it once was. Kenmore is going the way of the Dodo bird!

    VERY disappointed. Expected more from a product that was a Consumer Reports Best Buy. Won't power up unless unplugged for a while then sparks when plugged in but at least it powers up and can wash a load but when it turns off automatically after a load, it will not power up again until unplugged and does a "hard restart" (term used by phone service guy) again. Phone service guy was obviously aware of the problem with the machines but did nothing proactive to get the parts required to fix it. TERRIBLE service. Sadly, it is still a better product than the matching dryer.

    I can't understand why if I put it on normal load it automatically goes to 56 minutes - seems very long - I also noticed there is water trapped at the bottom front rubber trim so I dried it and looked under the rubber trim and it is full of water after a wash, wonder how long before this creates a problem

    I have never owned a front loader until I purchased the Kenmore from Sears, it was a Black Friday Christmas gift, and we got a great deal! Must say I am very satisfied with the product. Yes it uses less water, and it cleans our clothes great! I highly recommend this product! Friendly advice, to keep washer clean and not stink, throw Affresh in the washer every 1-3 months, and leave door open to air dry after washing a load.
