solid as sears January 22, 2008
We've had this old washer for 12 years now. The only "repair" was to the lid contact which spins the drum (a small 40 cent plastic item that anyone can replace in 2 minutes!). While it is true you get what you pay for we have raised 4 boys with this machine. As long as you don't overload ANY machine it will work just fine..Well worth the money

Piece of junk November 20, 2007
After only 16 months (and just out of warranty), the main heating element goes out. The part alone costs $65. Luckily I am handy with appliances and could fix it myself, but the average user would have to call a repair man, and I don't even want to think what that would have cost. Very unhappy with the quality, but I guess you get what you pay for. Be aware that if you buy this and you are unable to reapir it when it breaks on you, it is probably going to be cheaper to buy a new one. Save yourself the hassle and buy something of higher quality.

For the money this dryer works fine and does its job; dries a full load under 40 mins.. I assume the other reviews have dryer vents that are either too long, have too many bends or they are blocked.

Pros:
Appearance,Easy to Use,QuietKnock on wood, this dryer works well for our needs. Based on all the negative reviews, I'm not sure if it's hit or miss with this, but the dryer worked out for me. The salesmen could be a little more forthcoming about the limitations of their delivery/installation service, but at least the product works.

Will not dry 4 t-shirts, 2 shorts in under 3 hours. My 15 year old Kenmore dryer would dry this extra-small load in 20-25 minutes. This is the worst Kenmore appliance I've ever had.

I recently bought this dryer and the truth is, this isn't a great dryer at all.. It definitely does the job for $300, but if I were to buy again, I would spend a couple more bucks to get a dryer that dries. I ran the "high heat" dry for 40 minutes with probably half a load (3 shirts, 2 shorts) and IT DIDN'T FULLY DRY! Still a little damp, not happy about that.
