Kenmore  24'' Laundry Center w/ Electric Dryer

This model and 1 other one listed here are the 'same' machine but we received still another model # which does not show up here. All 3 machines are the same but have one digit different from one another in the model #. So I do not know how to address this: ButNot only is the noise unbearable to us, but neighbors, who have lived here in this high-rise building for decades without hearing a washing machine, reported loud noise from this washer and we have 1ft. thick cement walls We are sending it back. This one is **** which replaced a similar but good one. This is made more cheaply, probably in China - thinner metal, the door is not lined up well, lid does not stay up easily and the lint filter fits poorly. But most of all it is the loud washing agitation noise, not to mention the easy offload banging - you have to rearrange the load 3-4 times to get it just right. We paid $1316 on sale, more than other GE and Whirlpool models because we believed 'you get what you pay for.' Not so,

I bought this older version model when we were just a family of two, and lived in a small townhome and didn't have much space, and could only accomodate 1 power cord. It worked great from the start and has stayed with us with every move. 13 years later and now as a family of 4, we have out grown the capacity a bit, as we do about 5 full loads a week. The dryer takes a bit longer to dry the clothing these days, but it still puts out good heat. And like an old man it has presented some new noises that it didn't in its younger years. But do the math. The little machine has done a ton of loads and has far exceeded our expectations, and well worth what we paid. We're looking to purchase a couple of larger capacity machines to replace. Because this one has served us so well, we are only looking at Kenmores.

I purchased this Kenmore washer and dryer about ten years ago from the Sears Outlet in Voorhees. Not only did I get a good deal, but it is still in good working order after putting it through a vigorous ordeal. You see, my Mother had been incontinent for all of those ten years that I had the washer & dryer. (she died recently at 86 years old) She would not wear a diaper as she said she was not a baby. Sooo, that I could keep her happy in her old age, I washed her bedding twice a day, not to mention all the other clothes that kept the washer and dryer going all day, everyday. Plus, it was convenient in her downstairs bathroom that I had especially designed for her. It fit just right in the space. I look at this product as the "Energizer Bunny"?.it keeps going and going!! Thank you Sears for making such a good product.

Bought this unit for my condo and it has been great. Great value for the price and is very space efficient.

I don't think it's fair to write a review on anything until you've used it for a while. Then you should be able to write one with at least a little bit of facts instead of so much trivial complaining about silly stuff.                         We have owned this thing for quite a while now. Oh say 6 years+. In being fair, it is a great washer and does a great job doing what it's supposed to do, wash & dry cloths. The down side is that it's a pain in the pa-toot to get the cloths out of the washer when it's done. I'm 6'-3" tall {and almost as big as a horse}  and I almost have to stand on my head to get in it. My wife is also a tall lady and she has trouble getting the cloths out of the washer. It washes good and spins good and the dryer  is awesome too. It's an OK washer for a small machine and limited space applications. We've had our fun with it and now we're moving up in the world and getting a 4+ cf washer and 7+ cf dryer full size stacking pair. YEE HAA!! I've moved this thing a half dozen times and lost my religion all six of them. If you get one you'll like it {not love it}. If you move it, well, you might just end up cussing like a sailor till you're done. But, I told you. So all you need to do now is get one and enjoy the clean cloths and your fore head  looking like somebody smacked you around all day with a club and you end up getting knots on your head from moving the cloths out of the washer and putting them in the dryer.  GOOD LUCK

I purchased this unit in 2008 to replace the original stacked laundry unit. This unit was the only one that fit into the space I had. If I had more space I would have purchased the individual front loading washer and dryer that can be stacked on top. As for this unit, overall its was a great improvement from my old unit which had started to leak. This unit now 2 years old is doing well. Generally, these units are smaller than the average washer and dryer, so I have to keep my loads small which is okay since I live alone. My only issue with it is that the washer occasionally get stuck in that timing between when it drains all the water out before it starts to spin. If I lift the lid and close it again, it will immediately kick over to spin. If I don't catch it, it will eventually get there, but it will take some time. I find that the dryer works well at getting clothes dry, but due to the smaller capacity, my clothes, especially pants and jeans are very wrinkled and require more ironing than you would if you had more capacity. Additionally, I don't think the unit is any loader than my old one. I would say its average in noise but I don't think any of these type of units are particularly quiet.

When we went looking for a small compact washer and dryer, this was the first one we saw. We shopped around a bit ut still kept coming back to this one. After thinking it over, we decided this was the best one for us and we have loved it every since. It does not take up alot of room in our utility room leaving space for us to buy a freezer to add to the room

The only drawback about this type set is if you are short, its very hard to get everything outa the dryer.Thats when a nice foot stool comes in handy. Works great for me and I am only 4"10

This is a great compact washer / drer, for those small spaces.  Works great for most laundry items, not so good for large quitls or things of that nature, but great for everything else.  Would recommend to anyone who does laundry on a regualr basis...

We bought this washer and dryer combo 10 years ago. We had to replace the water pump just this year. That is the only thing ever done to it. I have a family of 6 and wash clothes only in this unit. I will always buy Kenmore products. No one I know has had this kind of luck with a washing machine. I definitely would purchase and recomend this product to anyone.
