DieHard  Platinum Automotive Battery Group Size 34 (Price with Exchange)

Would not hold a charge for a week. Sears would not exchange or replace. Said "all was fine". Worst service too!! Good for an anchor or a really heavy paperweight but not as a car battery.

I have a Dodge Ram diesel with 5 amps and a lot of extra lighting. These batteries handel all of this with no problem at all.

After having my battery in my Grand Caravan fail to start the van a number of times, I was going to install a Diehard Gold Battery. I then read about the Platinum and the difference in cost was $100. I thought to myself a battery is a battery but then after having had to have my van jump started a few times and after paying $50.00 for an extended battery for my cell phone, putting things into perspective with respect to cold winter days, I thought, "What the heck.... Try it." Wow.... I didn't think I would see a difference, but you actually can feel a difference with the way the car starts. You can hear the continuous power going to the starter and the car actually starts faster than before. I tried it with everything on and still you get the continuous power. You truly can feel the starting power..... I would highly recommend spending the extra money..... I was told this battery should last the next 10 years and I was also told that this battery can stand for up to 2 years and still start the car. I have no doubt this battery will perform as I was told. The Platinum will be going in every one of my vehicles.

we just put one of these badboys in a 1970 chevelle that is next to show quality... the agm construction of this battery is by far the most impressive i have ever seen and there is nothing better on the market. obviously there are multiple sizes depending on vehicle specifications, but these batteries put out some serious cold cranking amps and withstand quite a few brutal summers in the desert. 100 months is a long time.... four years of full replacement is a pretty bold statement... this is the essential component your vehicle demands in extreme conditions...

I have used the Group 34 batteries (Platinum P1) in several vintage cars originally using the old Group 24 battery. After having two conventional DieHard lead-acid batteries explode in recent years, I will only use this AGM battery or the Optima Red Top in my cars. These seem to maintain a charge very well in cars which are only occasionally driven, they will not leak or spill acid. I'm only sorry that the price recently rose dramatically.

06 February 2011. I have a 1999 Chrysler LHS 3.5L V6 with 95,000 miles on it. I installed a pre and post lubrication pump that initializes when the key is turned to "on". After bringing the oil pressure up, the key is then turned to "start". This prevents dry starting, greatly reducing engine wear. Then, when the key is switched off, I have the pump programed to run for 5 minutes. This continues to circulate oil while the engine cools down. The point for this review is this pump causes a lot of drain on the battery. I had an Interstate MegaTron II with 725 cold cranking amps. I could not find the reserve capacity stated on the battery. After the installation of my pre-post lubrication pump, if I took short trips where the pump would run several times in a short period of time, it would run the battery down. On several occasions I had to receive a jump start because of this. Obviously, the Interstate did not have enough reserve capacity, so I started looking for a battery with not only the highest cranking amps, but most important in this application, the most reserve capacity in minutes. At 880 cold cranking amps with 135 minutes of reserve capacity, the Die Hard Platinum came in at the very top of the list. Since installing the Die Hard Platinum I have had spectacular performance with more than enough reserve capacity and plenty of starting power. I now have complete confidence and peace of mind with the Die Hard Platinum installed and working wonderfully. This superior battery is worth every penny I paid.

It's hard to say much about a new battery - it either works or it doesn't.  This one is working and I am hopeful that I will have less issues with so many lights being on in a minivan, typically when loading or unloading for travel.

Replaced original equipment manufacturer (OEM) battery in our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with this power house of a battery.

Why?  Because the wife and kids kept killing the OEM battery by simultaneously watching DVDs, listening to the satellite radio, messing with the power windows and leaving the ignition in the "on" vs. "accessory" position; with the engine off!  Can you believe it!  If this has ever happened to you, get this battery for the extra 30 minutes of reserve juice and significantly reduce the risk of needing a jump start.

I was lucky and bought this otherwise pricey battery from sears.com, with store pickup, when it went on sale for $142.49 on 21SEP10.  I also bought a Diehard North battery for my truck to get an additional $20 off by buying $200 or more of automotive stuff.  Net cost of $122.49, sweet!

Time will tell if worth even that much money, but so far, no jump starts required!

Did I mention this thing is heavy!  Will no doubt lose a few tenths on the gas mileage and more wear and tear on the front left tires and suspension to boot.

I put this battery in my 92 Fox Body Mustang, it creates less wear on my starter and allows me to play my music for extended time.  Also this product allows peace of mind in hot and cold climates in knowing that I have enough power to start my vehicle.  I highly recommend this product.  Also has a very good warranty

Die Hard batteries have never left me stranded. Long lasting quality product.
