DieHard  Platinum Automotive Battery Group Size 35 (Price with Exchange)

I bought this battery for the CCA rating, the one I replaced was very low CCA, and wouldn't start in cold weather and dealership wouldn't replace with a larger CCA battery. plus 4 yrs replacement was a big factor also. Starts fine now even at -5 to -10, Should have done this, before going around and around with dealership, 2010 Nissan Xterra, notorious about cold weather starting--not any more

I have been using DieHard batteries for years. I have found them to be the most reliable batteries on the market. Along with SEARS service you cant miss with this product.

I just purchased and installed this morning. Figured why pay the Subaru dealer $200 for an $80 battery installed when I can get a $200 battery here and take 20 minutes to put it in myself. I spec out 48V telecom plants so I know AGM is the way to go. My OEM battery lasted 6 years and I let it go flat a few times (one of the worst things you can do to a battery). The car is garaged and I live in Northern CA so I probably won't need to buy another battery for this car. Obvious difference between this and the OEM battery is weight. You need two hands to carry this one but I could hold the old OEM battery in one hand (not for too long, of course). AGM allows the manufacturer to space the plates closer which means you can stuff more lead in the case. I won't know for another several years if I made the right choice but I think it's worth the extra peace of mind. For the budget conscious or those who will be selling their car soon, you can take comfort that a value priced battery will probably last a good five years. For those who plan to drive their car into the ground and/or want the extra peace of mind, this is the one to get.

Installed in a 2004 Mazda RX8 in Oct 2010. Selected battery through the Sears web site based on recommendation by the site for this vehicle. Web site recommended a Group 35 size battery. The battery was not a great fit externally into the battery box, needed minor modification to clamps to get them to securely fasten the battery in place. Also, both of the battery terminals are significantly smaller than the tightest possible clamp fastening position on the battery cables which also required some creative work with heavy guage copper wire as a spacer to make up the gap between the terminals and the clamps.

Every Winter we travel and living far away from the city we have to have dependable cars. This battery makes the cars start every time. It is great to not have to worry about being stranded or not being able to get the car started in heavy traffic.

What's not to like, good prices, nationally honored warranty, free charging system checks, and pro rating if I need a replacement.

I have an AGM battery in my diesel tractor and it 12 years old. These are far superior to the old lead acid batteries.  One thing to be aware of is because these are sealed batteries the do not take kindly to over charging. For a daily driver this is not a problem but if you have an alternator putting out really high voltage (say above 14.3) and you drive nothing but long trips, you could have a problem. The guy who replaced 2 of them in another review should check his charging voltage. These are also great for cars that do not get driving often because the store well with no plate sulfation. I am putting them in all of my cars. And sears has the best replacement policy of any AGM seller.

Appreciated the opportunity to get 18% more cold cranking amps with the Diehard Platinum Group 35 battery. Will look forward to a 4-year FULL replacement warranty for sure!

Excellent battery.  An Odyssey sales person actually told me this was one of their excellent batteries re-badged for sale under the Die Hard Name.  It was a perfect fit in the 06 GTO with great Cold Cranking Amps.  The staff at the Tacoma Sears store auto department were all nothing short of exceptional working with me to meet my special needs...even though I purchased the battery on line and then went there to have it installed.  They were EXCELLENT and should be recognized by management.  

Had OEM battery replaced in our 5 year old Acura TL with "top of the line" DieHard Platinum at Sears Concord, CA  (Based on Consumer's Report Rating)

Upon arriving home, lifted the hood and found the battery compartment plastic cover had been left on top of the engine...plus one of cover's attachment pins broken.   Such sloppy workmanship for such a simple job.  If ever a next time....I'm picking up and installing!
