    Diehard Platinum...best cranking battery available! October 12, 2010

    For those who may not already know, this battery is made by EnerSys...same company that makes Odyssey batteries. And yes, you guessed it, these batteries are identical in every way, including the amps, and warranty. The best part is, their A LOT cheaper than the Odyssey labels. I am not currently using the side posts, so I cannot comment, but they seemed pretty stout to me. We'll see what the future holds.

    Questionable quality, post problems July 31, 2010

    My side terminals also broke within a year, causing large problems, and sears tested only the top terminals showing everything was great. I installed top post adapters to bypass the problem 3wks ago, now possibly having issues with those! Sears wants me to bring the truck in to look for a short. I explained the short is in the battery, and the truck ran perfectly fine with my spare battery. You can see where this is going. Hopefully if I have ONE more issue, they will make this right.

    I researched and compared alot of batteries. First I was leaning towards a spirel gel type battery. I could not find any that had the warranty and power of this DieHard Platinum P-4. I also liked the dual terminals. It has both side post (my GM truck requires) and top post. If anyone needed my help and wanted a jump start, I can easily hook up to the top post terrminal. Have you ever tried to clamp on to the small side terminal bolts? We have many cars in my household and I am glad that I can now use this new battery if help is needed. I have a online account with ****************.This battery has the highest rating of them all in another "battery group size". They make this battery in all different sizes, but they did not do a comparison test with my needed choice, group size 34/78DT. I feel that this battery will measure up to any comparison test and I'm happy with my purchase. My purchase was quick and easy. I bought it online at Sears with customer pickup service. That way I know it was in stock and waiting for me. I just brought in my old Delco battery core and picked up the new one. Park close to the store, it is heavy! I could of had it installed , but I felt it was not necessary in my case. If you can, ask for them to use a hand truck to get it to your vehicle. It does have good foldup handles on the battery. I am looking forward to many years of carefree service from my most excellant choice: The DieHard Platinum P-4 series battery with dual terminals. Thanks

    Installed this Die Hard Platinum battery myself on my 2003 Trailblazer using the side terminals over 2 yeas ago. I have some power hungry audio/video electornics installed and the battery performs well. Lights do not dim & Voltage is always stable(like I said, I have some power hungry audio equipment so I have a 2fd cap installed as well, and when the audio system taxes the system the voltage variance is negligable, not woth mentioning). Have not experinced the side post terminal problems other seem to have encountered. On a couple of occasions had the vehicle sit for over 2 week in freezing temperatures and this batter had no problem starting the vehicle each time. This has been the best battery I have ever had. Highly recomend it.
