Great product and value! December 18, 2010
This charger is a great product, It has brought batteries back from the dead on icy cold mornings in seconds on the rapid charge. It has enough juice to start a f350 diesel and can also keep my weekend hot rods battery charged on the trickle charge.

Die Hard model 71230 Battery Charger. April 12, 2011
Worked okay for about 2 years. It quit working. Disassembled & found the high voltage diodes were bad. Tried to order new ones from Sears & direct from Die Hard, but parts are not available. Very disappointed. I will never buy another charger from Sears!

none yetWe have two 2008 BMWs. They have electrical oil and water pumps so they eat up the battery if you do not have long comutes. I charge up the 550i and X5 very fast. I had a cheep one from ********. It broke and they gave me a new one. Then the handles fell off the hair thin charging wire. I was scared to reconnect the clips as I was scared it may fall into my engine. This unit has very thick wire and cables. This sears modle does in 30 minues what the ******** unit took 12 hours. The sears unit is made in Mexico and is 100 time the quality of the ones made in China. Has a US pattent on the box.

Works well for engine start. Has two levels for charging the battery : fast and trickle. However be mindful that you need to manually stop the charger after the priscribed time MANUALLY.
The product description states otherwise.. NO AUTOMATIC control.
So.. it means you paid less and got a product with limitation!!! However it fits to my needs.

I recently purchaced two of these to add to our aging fleet of battery chargers. They are a professional grade product that can handle being used almost continuously over a ten hour workday, day-in and day-out. I definately would recommend this product to anyone.

The 40 and 200 amp claim is ridiculous. Internal wire gauge( and transformer) to small
to support this. 200A maybe for a few milliseconds before meltdown. Looks beefy, but metal is very thin and inside is mostly air-space.
Makes a good trickle charger at 2 or 4A.
