It Didn't Leak!
I purchased the Reese 15Cu.Ft. Rooftop Carrier from the store. It is a soft carrier that zips and velcros on 2 of the 4 sides. The packaging said it was waterproof, but I had read reviews from other stores on this product that said it leaked, so I was leery about buying it. It turned out to be a great product! It rained steady for 3 of our 8.5hr drive. The Carrier did not leak! Be sure to place the side without the zipper facing the front. I would recommend using a moving pad underneath the carrier. We did this and it may have kept it from leaking. We used a ladder to load the carrier once it was on our car. It was too heavy to lift once all the luggage was loaded into the carrier. We did have some trouble loading it for our drive home, since we did not have a ladder. That has nothing to do with the carrier's effectiveness, just something for you to consider before buying.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
