I put this product on my garage floor about a year ago and it worked perfectly. I was a little worried because I read the other review about the epoxy not sticking to the floor, mine went down just fine. Make sure that you clean the garage floor as good as you can. I used the cleaner that is supplied in the kit and a hard bristle brush to scrub the floor. Spray the floor with a hose to get the excess cleaner off and then I squeegeed the water off of the surface. I let the garage floor dry for 48 hours so that there would be no moisture to prevent the epoxy from sticking.
It turned out great and 2 of my neighbors went and bought the product to do their floors as well, there's also turned out great.

I bought 2 gallons which should have covered my 2 car garage. I preped the floor per instructions. It was 60 degrees outside but the floor must have been too cool. Because it started to cover just fine. After about 20 sq feet it started to seperate; smear; and ball up. I stirred it again but it just kept smearing. It's like a clear coat was going down but the color was not staying on the floor. So as it had to be used in 4 hours than can was nixed. I cleaned the floor a second time and tried again. The same thing happened. I waited for warmer weather and bought a better cleaner than proved. Used a hard bristled bruss and scrubbed the floor. This time I decided to use a brush. Same thing happened. I got about another 20 square ft. done and the color wouldn't come off the brush. 2 gallons wasted. I retested the floor to make sure their wasn't residue from anything present. Put water down and the concrete sucked it right up. Bought 2 more gallons. I was determined to get this project done before my daughters graduation party. This time I mixed 25 ounces and just applied that. It covered the floor ok. Thinking I was home free I mixed the rest. And the same darn thing happened again. The only think I can think of is that the concrete was still too cool. Don't know what else it could be. I've got a feeling the only thing this stuff is good for is new concrete that has never had a stain or been sealed. I know I'll never use it again.

a do-it-yourselferI purchased 3 gallons of the epoxy coatings when Sears had a half price online sale this summer. I have a 3 car garage. Two of the bays had new concrete poured 5 weeks earlier. One bay was 15 year old concrete. I used the cleaner provided then power washed the floor. Let it dry for 3 days then applied the epoxy as directed with the exception that I stirred the 2 part epoxy for 45 minutes to ensure it was well mixed then let it sit for half an hour to rest before I applied it. Four months later, the appearance still looks great. My neighbors were all impressed. They plan to do their garages next summer using the same product and me as a consultant.
looking for durabilityI purchased Sears Weatherbeater 2 part epoxy garage floor paint, and hired professional painters to install it. After cleaning and acid-etching the floor, it was thoroughly rinsed with a power washer, and left to dry. Upon application, the epoxy separated from the pigment, resulting in a gooy mess. They called the paint manufacturer, and were told that the cleaner (supplied in the kit), must not have been rinsed off enough. So, a third power wash was used to rinse the floor again, and another day was used for drying. The second attempt to use this product produced the same separated, gooy mess. They finally started over using a PPG product which produced good results. It was the product which was bad; not the prep work.
Weekend WarriorI would recommend this product to anyone who wants to protect their garage floor from the elements. Living in the south, we have the red dirt and it stains everything. Except the weatherbeater epoxy. Oil just wipes up and won't pentetrate.
It was a little work to prepare the concrete but all the work was worth it. The floor looks great. The price is a lot less the than ********** or ***** floor coatings. I have seen those products on a floor. They do not cover as much and don't give enough flecs to cover the floor. Good Buy.
a bargain hunterWe used 3 kits to do our larger-than-average two car garage. Go on the conservative side as far as the coverage listed on the box. It came out beautifully. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to make their gargage look great. The color flecks really add to the look.
