Crystalline Build Up May 31, 2009
We've been using a version of Sear's detergent now for several years. When it's on sale, it can't be beat but, after the most recent packaging change (plastic bin to cardboard box), the detergent seems different. We have a top loading GE High Efficiency (HE) machine. Utilizing a very small amount of detergent, we've started to notice a considerable build-up of a crystalline deposit within the drain holes and even on our clothes. This deposit is flaky and can even last through the drying cycle. We've cleaned our machine with a vinegar/water solution a couple of times now and have discontinued the use of this detergent. Since discontinuation, we've not noted any build up thus making us believe that the detergent was the problem. Maybe it's something chemical with our water and the dissolution of this powder but, up until about 6 months ago, we'd never seen this problem. I would recommend it based upon past experiences but, we've had some recent troubles. Oh well... We'll try again later. -RP-

Value for Money,Efficient,Easy to UseMaking a detergent is not rocket science and therefore it is not worth paying that kind of price for the same. This is a great detergent usually available at Sears at a great price. Why pay more than double price for other "brands" when this one does an equally good if not better job.
