I use the heaters in 2 separate rooms, great to help big system in very cold weather. Warms nicely and keeps room comfortable. Feel safe to leave it on low when not in room. Checking my utility bills this month to check and see if and how much saved.

I had purchased one of these 12 years ago when I lived in a city and it had good heat output and was a handy and efficient space heater. Fast forward to Dec. 2010 and a new model that may look like the old one (but with cheaper wheels) but has very little heat output. It may be fine for a small powder room but it won't even heat a 12 x 12 bedroom. Save your money and buy an infrared portable heater. THAT will keep you warm and cut your heating bills.

looking for energy savingsThe DeLonghi Oil-filled heater is a wonderful safe heater to use in any room of the house. The heater is easy to move around, the wheels make it so. It is not a fire hazard because of the 7 oil-filled radiators unless you plug the heater into an extension cord, do not do that.
The greatest assest of this type of heater is it ability to be safe if used properly and it gives off good heat. The thermostat maintains the desired and set temperature of the room. This attribute is wonderful is operates just like a heatpump thermostat.
Once set-up and turned on, depending on the size of the room this heater will heat and keep the room at the desired temperature and it's a great device. To heat a large room the use of several heater is needed and together they will keep the room at the desired temperature and that's a wonderful/great attribute. I love using this type heater vs. the other kind because of the safe oil-filled radiators no fear of a fire hazard and can keep them on when away from home.
I have two of these heaters and they work well. They do take awhile to heat up. Once they warm up, they work really well. One time I pulled the fuse to my furnance (long, not so smart story). We had one of these heaters on upstairs. I did not realize the furnance was off (it had been off all night) until I went downstairs. This was on an average Ceveland, OH winter day.
Running two at one time ran up our electric bill, so we would only run one at a time. We had one ustaris and downstairs. Also before you run it after sitting out, keep it free of dust. If it is dusty it can smell some what.
Another reason we got these is because they don't get super hot to the touch. We got them when my son was small and I didn't want him to get burned if he touched the heater. It does get real warm, but in my experience it never got hot enough to produce an instant burn.
Also don't let oil-filled scare you. The oil is completely contained and is maintenance free. It is heavy because of the oil, so it might be challenge for some people to carry it from floor to floor. If it is staying on one floor it can be rolled on its wheels.
This is a good heater for the price.
