Great machine July 18, 2009
I did a lot of research on air purifiers before purchasing this Sears brand machine. It performs extremely well, removing odors and dust, and is very quiet until it detects odors or dust and automatically turns on high to remove them. We are very very happy with this purchase and plan to buy another one for our son's room.

I question the durability! May 11, 2009
This air cleaner works great, if you can get it to work. It is amazing in that I have returned this thing twice now. The two prior times, it worked for a total of three hours before it would break down and not turn on again. I guess the third time, so far is the charm. So far it has been working now for three weeks and hasn't broken down. Knock on wood. I used to love Kenmore, products but lately my luck hasn't been good with this product, an oven, and a washer/dryer. I rarely buy the extended warranty, but on this item I would suggest it. I question how durable it is since the first two broke down in half a day.

price and filter s are not cheapThis machine is very quiet, it works better than I expected, quieter than honeywell my old unit. I have had no probles or complaints in thwe 2.5 years I have use it 24/7, it is never off. It is slim too. The filters are 70 dollars but worth the money, i changed mine at 1.5 years. (I dont smoke). Other thn=an price Its just great.

At 60, I was just diagnosed with asthma. What seems to set it off most is odors. With this machine I am breathing easiser. It is quiet, and seems to adjust quickly to changes in the air. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a better quality of air in their home. Also, my husband has alergies and this seems to help him as well. I use a special filter in our homes heating and air conditioning that is usually black when I replace it in 3 months. This time when I replaced it, it was gray--that really suprised me.
