I like this product. It's not too loud (although it is audible) and the variability of settings is great. It's nice to be able to turn the ionizer off, to save energy or if it's just not needed. And the price can't be beat!

Holmes MIni Tower HEPA-Type Air Purifier - Takes Out Odor
Purchased this filter for my kitchen that does not have a vented or ventless range hood. It sits conviently on the refrigerator. Cooking odors tended to linger in my kitchen before the purchase of the Holmes Mini Tower HEPA-Type Air Purifier. The unit is only about a month old, but it seems to be clearing the lingering cooking smells. The unit is set on the medium fan setting without the ionization all of the time. The high fan setting with the ionization use is for clearing kitchen smoke. The unit is not noisy, just noticed running quietly. Sears has the replacement filters in a nearby store. A good buy at a good price.

The Holmes Mini Tower Air Purifier really works & is quiet
The Holmes Mini Tower HEPA-Type Air Purifier eliminates odors magnificently and we have 4 house pets! Placed one in a bedroom & one in the home office. The rooms are 10' x 17' and the tower is true to it's specs for usage. The size is non-intrusive to the space and it's sleek exterior allows it to blend into any decor. Even running at highest speed, the noise is whisper quiet. I won't hesitate to buy more for the other rooms.
