Honeywell  Quiet Clean™ Tower Air Purifier with Oscillation.  ENERGY STAR®

We have our tower air purifier in our bedroom, and it really has cut down on allergy problems with dust and pollen. We clean out the filter every month or so, and we are amazed at how much dust it captures. We are so glad we don't have to buy new filters for it. That would be very expensive. The quiet purr of the engine helps us sleep at night. It is very soothing and relaxing. We only use it at night.

My big challenge was finding a spot in the bedroom three feet from the wall (according to operating instructions) near an outlet. I finally just turned it sideways against the wall and it works fine. It blows cold air so I don't have it face the bed. On medium and high I can still hear it but it doesn't interrupt my sleep. I can't yet tell if the air is any cleaner; I'll have to wait to see what the filter looks like when I need to clean it.

Bought one for me and one for my sons' family we all love it..works great and so quiet..

Works great! I have quite a few dogs and it takes care of the air quality. I also use my fireplace and have allergies and this is great for that. Highly recommend it. Very efficient for its size and runs very quiet, too.

I brought this item and returned it the same day. It produces this smell called ionic. Later found out that ionic produces ozone, which is a lung irritant associated with serious health problems. Not suitable for those with asthma, allergies or breathing problems, which defeats the purpose of a air purifier. I recommend the whirlpool Model# APT40010R. Its about the same price, but with filters. Its hard to find a air purifier with permanent filters that DOES NOT produce ozone. Overall I choose health over cost.

My husband has sever allergies. Even though he is allergic to cats we ended up with two cats this year. In September he was having issues breathing and sleeping. So i searched the internet for a good purifier this is one of many that came up. This one was reasonable in price, had a very good rating and covered pet hair/dander. So i picked it up. Within two days there was a significant difference with my husband (he was put on an inhaler before i got this) He is now breathing freely, and sleeping through the night. It is very quiet, easy to use, acts like a fan that actually cools the air in the process, Does exactly what it says it will do, comes with a 5 year warranty that i did not see online, And is easy to clean. Could you ask for any better???? PS the smell that other people have commented about.... Smells like new car, so at least its a good smell, it only lasts about 2 days

I purchased the Honeywell Quiet Clean Tower Air Purifier with Oscillation from Sears about 9 months ago and am very pleased with the product.  We only have one dog and one cat, who are both groomed regularly, but my husband is still highly allergic. (We both love animals!)  Since running the Honeywell product, my husband doesn't even notice any allergic reactions to the pets.  We live in an old home and, frankly, the dust is the worst, and for 10 years has aggravated allergies and asthma. (Even vacuuming 2-3 times a week!)  Since running the Honeywell Quiet Clean, there are no problems with asthma or allergic reactions to the dust.

The unit is also a tremendous help at eliminating smell, dust, or any particulate from the wood stove.

The Honeywell Quiet Clean takes care of a large family room/dining area/kitchen open floor plan.   I plan on getting 2 small units for our individual home offices, and another  Honeywell Quiet Clean Tower Air for the attic bedroom suite, also a large open floor plan.  This product has made a huge improvement in our home life, and contributed to overall health & well being.

NO  "new plastic" smell in our unit, beyond the usual off-gassing of a new product, which was 2-3 days.

As usual, the people at Sears were most helpful.  We always purchase home cleaning items: vacuum cleaners, air filters, dehumidifiers, etc. from Sears, as well as some small electronics.  My husband's wood shop looks like a magazine ad for CRAFTSMAN, but honestly, they are  just well constructed, good products.

Recommendation: Check and wash removable filters regularly.  At least every two weeks I remove and clean filters with water and allow to dry thoroughly.  Also vacuum as much as possible with an vacuum designed for small electronics, and wipe down the unit. Keeping it clean will only help it stay in good working order long term.  Vacuuming the rooms regularly with a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner helps keep the dust down and the machine doesn't have to work as hard. Sears has good quality HEPA vacuum cleaners also.

I kept it for a week and the "New Smell" never went away. I got it so I could smoke in my room without stinking up the house and it took two days for it to clear the smoke smell from one cigarette. It does not do what it is supposed to and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have tried so many different air purifier and most of it does not work including the expensive ones. This product not only it eliminates the odor (pets) but I can sleep (breath)  better no more allergy..
