    Adds to your home atmosphere February 25, 2012

    I always wanted a stove/fireplace for my living room when at home relaxing. I love my Sylvania stove and the extra comfort it adds to my living room on a cold night. When I bought my stove I paid $149.00 for it. Within the week they dropped the price to $129.00 I chatted with someone on Sears.com about the issue and they deducted the price to the new sale price. About 6 weeks later I saw it again for $99.00. I like my first one so much I bought a second one. It is nice with 2 heat settings and thermostat to shut off and on. I like them a lot. I think you will too especially if you buy one for $99.00

    Keeps the temperature up.. February 27, 2012

    I bought this stove because my gas furnace wasn't enough to warm my place. Even at 75 degrees, guest complained they were cold. and it helps to keep the place around 72 with the gas furnace on 65-68. So about 4 degrees warmer and prevents the furnace from turning on constantly due to the poor insulation my apartment has.

    I have a real fireplace so I wasn't too concerned about the flame effect, but thought it could have been a bit more realistic. Looks better when it's on low, but it still looks cool.

    Only complaint is the door doesn't open, but you have to wonder why would anyone need the door open? I think having the door sealed shut helps to cut down on vibrations like I've heard other stoves have. But still, seeing a bunch of stoves at another home improvement store with doors opened was kind of a downer.

    If you're looking for supplemental heat with a cool effect, this is it. And with the heat coming from the bottom, you don't have to worry about hot, dry air in your face.

    This is a delight feature it can go anywhere in your home or apartment.With this stove you can go no heat and just enjoy the flames use it as a romantic tool,or with heat to keep warm.This is a wonderful product go get you one.

    This is a fabulous e\addition to any home. It really generates a lot of heat and the flame effect is beautiful. The construction is solid, and looks like a genuine antique heat stove. I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a beautiful decorative piece of furniture as well as a functional heating supply. The price is right, so, even when you don't need the heat, it looks great as a piece of furniture. Adds ambiance to your home, while costing very little!

    Awesome heater for the price. love the fact that you can just use the flames w/o the heater. heater has 2 settings. Very cute and charming have had lots of compliments on this fireplace. We have bought 2 and had no problems, works great. The photo does not do it justice, way cuter then the picture portraits it.

    I read the other reviews and said I would give it a try (found it on sale). I am very pleased. I felt the heat as soon as I turned it on, it is extemely quiet and looks beautiful. It is not too big or bulky and I can easily lift it myself (female). It appears efficient as well because of the 2 heat settings (675 and 1350). I plan to purchase another one for my sunporch.
