Not That Bad February 23, 2009
After reading these reviews i was somewhat reluctant to buy this even at sale price of 25.00. First it is definitely worth $25.00 , it is what i would describe as for light duty mainly, and i only expect to use it occasionally so its fine for me. Can't comment yet on bulb life but it comes with no-name bulbs i'd imagine a brand name bulb would be better. Selectable output of 250-500-750-1000.

I wish the lamps would stay positioned..... October 28, 2009
Each of the lamps has two control knobs at their base. The knob holds the lamp to the black metal frame and is intended to allow the control of the position of the lamp. The problem with this design is that the nut (into which the knobs screw) is supposed to be held stationary by a plastic enclosure. When you try to tighten the knob, thus stopping the lamps range of motion, the nut just turns. I have used a socket to hold the nut and tightened the knob, but now when I loosen to adjust.....have to go through the same procedure. In actuality, all of the movable connections on this unit are a bit flimsy. The unit is a bit top heavy, tips over easily. I would not recommend.

Pros:
Sturdy Construction,Great lighting abilityI have had this light for over a year now. I do most of the work on my cars or whatever at night and had been using a single halogen bulb to light my space. When I saw this on sale at sears with a free hand light it was just perfect. Since buying I have used it at least 100 hours. The stand is sturdy and well built as well as the lights themselves. Ive used this to light the front of my house to hang Christmas lights on the roof and it was perfect. Only change I would want is maybe a storage place for the cord because it never likes to stay folded around the lights.

Pros:
Sturdy ConstructionI've owned this lamp for about a year. It's light, easy to set up and throws all the light you could ever want. If it were perfect, I'd like to have a power plug on the lamp for accessory tools. I should have bought more of these when they were on sale.
