We priced self-cleaning water heaters at ***** & **********, thier was $100 more! The self-cleaning models last a long time, like our old one that lasted 18yrs.

We got our first mini disaster in the basement when the previous heater started leaking profuesly and we ordered a new one from Sears. This one we upgraded from 40 to 50 Gallons size as previous one was often running cool water after someone taking longer showers. The installation was quick and smooth. We immediately noticed the great relief and constant hot water after getting this. Also being Energy star compliant and newer heater we noticed a great reduction in the power consumption. Six years and running we are not noticing any change in performance, though crossing our fingers as someone mentioned these heaters have not lasted them beyond the stipulated 6-7 years. Fully recommend from the experience so far with the heaters and with Sears

Wow had this bad boy installed to replace my 17 year old water heater. The installers were pro's all the way around and courtesy -wow beyond belief. They took my old water heater away for me, and this model had hot water in less than 1/2 hour after they turned it on. I mean really hot I have the 5500 hundred watt bus hooked up and I love it.My electric bill didnt take a jump either in fact it went down so I know my old water heater was and the end of its life, wasting energy. This unit really puts out hot water when I need it.I am completely satisfied with this model. You will not regret purchasing this model what so ever.

I purchased it couple months ago but I decided not to purchase the installation since the cost was close to the cost of the water heater itself. After couple months I decided to try to install it myself and it was almost a piece of cake. Only issue was the removal of the old tank. It took about 1-2hours and the whole instalation was done and in less than an hour I took a first shower. Water was already hot for a long hot shower. The power misser 6 50 gallon is great, heats the water really fast there is no need to switch it to 5500 Watts just a waste of electricity, the 3800W is more than enough. I had 3 people shower one after another with the washing machine running and noone ran out of hot water. THe thermostat is very accurate, you can have it luke warm to scalding hot and I never had the valve blow up. I have it set to approx 130 degrees and the water at the tap when I measured was actually 129 degrees. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality, solid and reliable electric water heater and don't want to spend a fortune for the high end water heaters that costs more than twice as much but they all perform the same function. Can you tell the difference in your shower that your waterr is coming from a water heater that costs 300 bucks or 600 bucks, I sure can't but so far after 3 weeks I feel like I got a best wanter heater out there. Lets just hope it stays this way. I have a lot of Kenmore appliances and I never really had any negative experiences that is why I chose the water heater as well. Hope this review is helpful because I am just an ordinary guy that wants quality stuff that lasts but don't want to spend unnecessary fortune on it. Kenmore wanter heaters is a perfect choice if you are looking for solid reliable water heater that (So far!!!) never runs out of hot water even after 1 hour shower.

The Kenmore 50 gal. Medium Height Electric Hot Water Heater (32666) works perfectly as advertised. Installation was easy, the directions were clear, and it has worked well from day one. The hardest part of the whole process was removing the old water heater and getting it to the curb.

3 yrs old, has worked well until this past month. Now it trips the internal breaker every night, has to be reset and wait 45 min. for a shower. Water temp is 120*. Very aggravating. Looking for a solution without having to call a technician.

This heater was purchased a year before i bought the house. I know cause i helped put it in. I have owned the house for 14 years. I have replaced only 2 elements since i have been there. and leaks? None here. Not only that but no rust anywhere on the unit. I would recomend this water heater to anyone. It may not be the same one but it is close. But thinking of replaceing it because of age just in case. Garranttee it will be this one.

My model number may not match the one on the website, but I have the Kenmore Power Miser 12 (12 means it’s warranted for 12 years), 50 gallons, 320592, electric water heater which we have been using the past 9-1/2 years without problem. I was able to self-install this heater, a matter of connecting the power and the water inlet and outlet lines. I remember when I first connected it, we had hot water within about half hour of turning on the power. To prolong the life of the heater, I also installed a water filter to the inlet line. When I had removed the old water heater, I removed the heating element from the heater and found it full of crud and built-up particles, apparently the stuff that’s found in normal water straight from the water main. To save energy, I have also connected a water heater timer, but now the timer part doesn’t work, so I just turn the heater on and off with the manual override. Solar hot water is being promoted as one of the biggest energy savers for homeowners, but that’s still out of our reach right now. I would like to see manufacturers of electric water heaters put built-in timers on some of their models to encourage energy saving.

I received the water heater at the local Sears store in Livingston, Texas. They checked if for any indication of damage and loaded it into my SUV for its trip to my home. I changed the lower element from 3800 watts to 5500 watts as indicated possible. This was a very easy conversion. I installed the heater in about 30 minutes (after draining and removing the old water heater). It was a snap to install and connect to the electrical power. I turned the heater on and checked the hot water temperture the next day. It was about 110 degrees, a little to cool for me. I set the thermostats on the heater to 130 degrees and checked the temperature after 15 hours and it was maintaining 128 degrees which is where I had my old water heater set. It has been working great ever since and I expect to get a lot of service from the unit. In addition, the price went down after I ordered the heater and Sears refunded the difference. I got a rebate, a 1% discount (card provided by Sears), and free shipping to my local Sears catalog store. Thanks Sears
