Kenmore 40 gal gas water tank
I bought a home and aftertwo years he hot water tank busted, I got the paperwork out and the the original one was bought Aug. 11, 1993. so it lasted 19 years, so I got the name and information and I just bought the same one. Heres to not needing another one for another 19 years.

The Kenmore 40 gal. Gas Water Heater is very stable
I purchased my Kenmore Gas Water Heater for the price, unfortunately, I purchased one with a defective value unit, which has been replaced within in a week of my purchase, the water heater seems to be working fine. Also, there were no fittings that came with my purchase, so I had to spend more money to buy fittings. The Sears Kenmore Gas Water Heater is good for the price, but make sure before installaling, that you have everything you need.

This was not only a good quality product that has performed without any issues, but I was surprised when I started shopping around that Sears had the best prices by far compared to any of their competitors. Recently I have been very surprised with product quality and price when dealing with sears.

Who came up with a heater that was for just 3 years??? When I ordered it I thought that all of the water heaters had similar quality. I checked the number of stars that the product was awarded ;not thinking Sears would carry a substandard heater!!!

Always Always Trust Sears
This morning my son comes upstairs to tell me the hot water heater is making a hissing sound. Yup, leaking. Looking at the old water heater (Sears Kenmore Miser 8) I noticed it was installed 18 years ago. I got on the internet, scoped out water heaters for about five minutes. Then, went to sears.com. Called the Sears Hardware Store in my town; had the associate; named "Kathy" hold it for me. All the measurements were exactly like the old one. After five hours of installing it myself (saving enough to go on a Guy's Golf Weekend) I am currently waiting for the water to heat up so we can all get a shower in. My Dad and my Mother-in-law have always recommended Sears, after purchasing a Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, and now a hot water heater why would I ever think about shopping at those "big box" stores? I would highly recommend Sears and their Associates for your home needs and projects.

Pic Does NOTexactly match my unit
2/2013- My 1998 Kenmore 337462 "Rotory Swirl" 40 gal Gas H20 heater blew after 15 years. I went to Sears in Warwick, RI, looking for the EXACT same model. This 332421 model is the closest one we could find to replace it. 4 hours and $725. later, I had a 332421 working in my home. According to this site, this is the model I just had installed. Here are the differences I can find between my new Kenmore 332421, my old Kenmore 337462 and the one pictured above; The t-stat control on my new 3332421 looks more like the one on the model up w/ a blinking light. The one pictured above looks just like the controller on my old Kenmore 337462 heater, except the one pictured has a manual piezo starter. My old unit was 40K btu, my new one is 35, 5k btu My old one had a big "Rotory Swirl" sticker on it. Neither my new one or the one pictured talks about this feature anywhere on it. The color on my new unit is light tan. My old unit was dark tan. The one pictured is white.

40 gal Kenmore Water Heater
We purchased this product on Dec 31, 2012 after a huge ordeal with ***** and American Water Heater regarding our old one. Kenmore is great, we've never had any problems with any of our Kenmore products. We were able to pick up our shipment a week early which was FANTASTIC because we have not had hot water for 7 weeks. We installed the new water heater on Jan 8, 2013. No issues on installation. Everything fit perfect. Had hot water in about 1 hour and the longest HOT SHOWER OF MY LIFE =). I'll keep you updated in a few months to let you know how things are running still. THANK YOU KENMORE AND SEARS.
