The faucet on my reverse osmosis system began leaking after 15 years. To replace the faucet would cost the same or more than this entire system. I like that no water is waisted doing osmosis and flow rate to faucet is higher. The replacement filter cost is much less. I had to turn off the water supply and push the connections together a couple of times to stop leaks. Works fine for the two months since installing. Took me 2 hrs to install and fix leaks. Suggest testing water first to know what you want the filter to do. I'm using the Taste and odor filter that remove chlorine with charcoal. The filter container and the faucet are made of plastic like material. The faucet is white, the filter container is beige. If you have a designer kitchen you may want to spend more than this on the faucet alone.

The water tastes pretty good and the consumer reports test of the H2O quality are good. However, the design on the spigot arm is faulty. The "notch" for the O ring that allows the faucet arm to pivot is compromised every time you actuate the on/off lever. Consequently the weakness in the O ring notch caused my faucet to snap at the position. I fixed it with teflon tape and then a couple of months later the on/off plastic lever snapped. Now I must use some needle nose pliers to turn it on and off until I get a new filter. This all occurred within in about 9 months. Unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt. DON'T purchase this model!!!!!
I bought this filter system based on the ConsumerReports.org review and rating. So far, I am disappointed. By the way, I do most of my own household plumbing and installations. I include this only as a skill level reference. I had two Quality Control Problems: 3 out of the 4 push-to-connect fittings were installed with their collets. The other was not. I did not realize one was missing until I did a pressure/leak check and sprayed water everywhere. I cannot understand why only 3 of 4 were shipped installed. The missing one was in the bag with the screws and other mounting hardware. Even if people decide not to use the supplied cold water fitting and went with a compression fitting instead, they would still use the push-to-connect/collet with 1/4" OD tubing on the filter housing. It just doesn't make sense not to ship it installed. The other is that the faucet leaks. Not from any of the fittings but from the faucet assembly itself. There is an invisible fracture where the mounting post meets the faucet housing. It took me over an hour to diagnose where the leak was coming from. I was only able to find it after removing the entire assembly from the sink. I tightened the hex nut just to the point that the faucet did not move (as per the instructions). As you can tell from my and other reviews, the cheap plastic faucet that comes with the filter system is the weak link. I cannot comment on the quality of the water yet.
Pros - It filters nicely. You can definitely taste the difference in the water. Cons - Cheap construction. My first one is a couple years old and still working. My second one never worked right. I snapped the thin plastic dispenser when cleaning the third one and now it doesn't work.
