Kenmore 6K BTU A/C
This unit is actually a Frigidaire (Electrolux) labeled for Sears Kenmore. I was extremely surprised at it's performance considering I had already returned 3 Frigidaire A/C's to other stores due to excessive noise. This one is a real gem. It is a low profile design. Included is a support bracket. What's most impressive is the 52Db noise at high A/C. My spouse and I are very pleased with this purchase.

Missing good features of model 75062
We were looking for a light weight AC that my husband and I could easily carry and install. The weight listed was great, so we ordered this model. When it arrived in the store we expected it to be an improvement on model 75062. What a disappointment. I did not take the new AC out of the store. When the salesperson opened the box we found that this AC has no grill to cover the fins on the back which are easily mashed, nor does it have hand holes like the 75062. Unfortuately these two qualities, grill cover for fins and hand holes are not listed in the description so I had to order the AC before I could find out. The weight was listed on line, though.

One year and two weeks after purchase (so one summer season) and it started to blow only hot air. So Sears sends out a repairman and without going in to alot of details, the repair person and his "help desk" could not figure out what was wrong. Sears would not replace the $300 AC but would order $800 in parts! As you may have guessed, it's now in the garbage and Sears has lost a customer

with the vinyl windows we have, there was some challemges we encountered, and would recommend addressing this topic in the beeginning of the directions...so all is on hand for the installation.

easy to handle!
I have now bought 3 of these remarkable units! I can install them myself and they still allow me to see out my windows. They are powerful enough to cool my entire small home I have 1 in the bedroom and 2 on the first floor. I usually only turn the second one on if I have some baking to do as using the oven does heat up the kitchen. Love the way the air comes from the top not the front as most window units do. This allows me to put them in a window that has furniture in front and still cool the space without having to rearrange the room. They come fully assembled. Just have to take it out of the box and plug it in!!!!

Mold Mold MOLD
this air conditioner is a mold trap. I've had two of them now and they both got so much mold on the inside that it looks like a science project. The drum fan on the inside of this one after one season was covered in thick furry black mold. It looks like a petri dish! It must be a design flaw with the drum fan, but the plastic they used is clearly a mold prone material. It is impossible to clean the inside too. The second one I bought last year was not nearly as quiet as the first one that I bought about 5 years ago.

Wrong dimensions given
The website indicates that the minimum window dimensions is "23 inches wide". My window is 25 inches wide. However, the unit requires a minimum width of 26.5 inches. Unfortunately, the installation instructions sent with the unit and the dimensions given online do not match.

I really like this unit. I bought one for my home office because my old non-energy efficient unit was so loud I had to turn it off if I was on the phone. The old unit in my livingroom bit the dust, so I ordered this unit. Love it. I don't have to turn the TV to max to hear it if the unit is on. Easy install and not too heavy for me to lift on my own.
