Dont Let The Size Scare You June 10, 2008
Wonderful... I mean its just one of the better models I have ever owned. The price was worth every penny and the timer feature is perfect. Setup up before you leave to work and by the time you get home your palace is cozy. Quiet and powerful are what comes to mind very easily. My condo neighbors were so jealous after I installed mine, they went to Sears and bought one... Its a trend setter. Thanks for reading and if I'm lying then go buy one and prove me wrong!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE!!!!!!!!! June 06, 2010
Purchased this unit about a year ago, had nothing but problems, starting with loud vibrations ending with a defective compressor-after a year the compressor broke and sears tryied to charge me an arm and leg for this problem.Please stay away from this unit, spend a few extra dollars and purchase a Friedrich.

can't cool,wrong dimensions,did I mention it can't coolIt simply cannot keep a room cool. We used to have a ~5000 BTU whirlpool unit that cooled at least twice as well as this piece of junk. Stay away. We're kind of stuck with it now that we had to expand the hole in our wall to fit it. (It is MUCH bigger than specifications list) We got rid of that whirlpool one due to noise, but this one is just as noisy and we have a warm house now. Terrible.
Air blowing out of it is only about 10 degrees colder than ambient, at its coldest settings. Thats just terrible.

I bought one of these, it lasted through the summer. I had no problems. Energy cost is a factor though. I would shop arround for the true best value when it comes to energy cost.
