loose backsI ordered these online for pick-up at a store. They were a gift for my mother, who loves black and white diamonds. She has her ears pierced twice, so these are for wearing in the upper hole with her black&white diamond hoops in the lower one. I wasn't sure how they'd look color-wise but we are both very impressed. They are a true, dark black. The size is perfect because they are small enough they don't look gaudy in the upper hole but still plenty large enough to be seen. She LOVES them. I should have gotten a pair for myself, too! I agree that the backs were a little loose. I always check for loose earring backs when I purchase earrings, and the salesperson offered to swap them out for me; they had a whole box of just white gold earring backs! I will say if you use online ordering for store pickup, don't be surprised if they cancel your order due to insufficient stock even though it shows in stock on the website. I had to order at a 2nd store in a different town because my local store cancelled the order. When I called the store, the associate told me they had issues with that all the time.
