Overall
The Electorlux Refrigerator is an outstanding value
We purchased this stand alone refrigerator to replace our standalone SubZero which had continuous problems and was high maintenance. We were going to get another SubZero but were not happy with the quality or price. This unit is literally less than 20% of the cost of a SubZero, $1600 versus $8500. We couldn't be more happy with this unit which we have had for 6 months. It performs excellently, is much quieter, looks great, has more features and according to the labels, uses much less energy. Anyone considering a SubZero be warned: the SubZero telephone rep told me to expect 10 to 12 years out of a Sub-Zero. Our experience is similar, with the addition of $500 to $600 of repairs yearly. When we bought our Electrolux, it went on sale the week after we took delivery. When we called Sears they immediately credited our charge with the difference. What a great way to do business.
