Frigidaire  19.53 cu. ft. Refrigerator

If you're considering purchasing this, here are the measurements: Depth w Handle: 31.13 inches, Height: 75.5 inches; with 4 inch castors installed, Width ( with door closed): 32 inches;. You can tell that if you have a standard 32 inch door that you are having this delivered through, depending on the clearance, you may need to remove that door in order for the refrigerator to fit through the opening. The handle can be easily removed with an allen wrench. We both thought that it was all stainless steel. This particular model is NOT. The door and exhaust louvers are stainless, but the body is black vinyl coated. There may be stainless underneath, but cannot confirm that. In any case, it looks sharp! The Glass door is why we bought this unit. In any case, tbe black vinyl blends perfectly. We use it as a stand alone, and is not built in There are a few reviews that note the noise level of this unit. Yes, it is louder than a regular combo unit, but it is not the compressor that makes it so, it is the circulating fan that is on the loud side. Take NOTE: The circulating fan runs 24/7, except for the once every 12 hour defrost cycle, when the unit shuts down completely for about 25 minutes, then starts again. You can control the time the cycle begins, but you cannot turn this function OFF. Constantly running circulating fans are pretty much standard faire in Commercial appliances, so if you want something as quiet as a combo unit ( that also runs then shuts off when up to temp), you may want to consider another purchase. That being said, we just purchased this unit ( Nov 2011), so we cannot vouch for the reliability, but it a gorgeous appliance. There is a analog temperature gauge in the upper righthand corner inside the unit, and a temperature control dial declinated from 9 ( coldest) to 1 (cold) at the upper left. It came factory set to 5, and we did try it at that setting for a few days, however, the temp reading did not get colder than 42, as indicated on the temp gauge. We currently have it set at 7.5, and using an independent temp gauge, the temp hovers at 38-40 degrees, with the unit about 2/3's full in a 2 person household, so the door does not really get opened that often. Set at 7.5, the compressor comes on at about a reading of 44, and within 20 minutes, reads 38-40. The compressor shuts down, leaving the circulating fan running. Its quite a different experience, since the appliance does not shut off, as do the combo units. In high humidity environs ( we live in Hawaii), expect condensation on the outside glass and door, and some when you open the door, on the inside of the glass. The inside condensation quickly disappears. It is NOT Energy Star rated, however on Kauai, all bets are off anyway, since we pay $0.42 per KWH here, and we have not gotten our first bill yet ( yikes). If you want a refrigerator only, glass door unit, this one is reasonably priced, has almost 20 cu ft of space, and would look great in just about any kitchen. Hopefully, the quality and longevity of the unit will meet our expectations for a Frigidaire made product.

Wow! We researched and researched this fridge before finally biting the bullet and buying it. We bought it through Sears Outlet and got a super deal! This fridge is absolutely giant on the inside... and we are coming off of using a Whirlpool Sidekick fridge only (which is pretty big itself). The bottom self is currently holding 3 gallons of milk, two containers of apple juice, creamer, chocolate syrup and half and half! The shelves are easily repositionable and the grates are definitely heavy duty. I worried about the "bottle tilt" that you can get with grates instead of glass, but I really don't seem to have that problem in this fridge. Beautiful! This fridge is absolutely a thing of beauty and is in our kitchen. The glass door just adds to the appeal! the light on the inside is turned on/off with a switch and is a true flourescent light. It provides plenty of light to see down to the bottom shelf at night and in a dark kitchen. This fridge is also super solid and sturdy. Definitely commercial! It doesn't feel cheap at all! The only negative is the little clip that is "supposed" to hold the drain hose over the drain pain when it defrosts. That clip is useless. The rolling caster wheels are amazing... I've seen cheaper/smaller wheels on $10,000 tool boxes! Noise - some complain about it. Yes, it does make more noise than a normal household fridge... but you are buying a commercial fridge and the more industrial parts that entails. Again, it is in my kitchen and I don't find it bothersome at all. I can still hear the TV fine and really don't notice it from my living room. Cooling - I have noticed that this fridge seems to take a little longer than most before coming to a stable temperature after a temp change/plugging in for the first time. But boy when it does come to temp, it is COLD! I love drinks coming out of this fridge so much better than our old fridge. All in all - I would buy again and I would buy it full price - no hesitation!

I have dreamed of owning a glass door refrigerator for many years but have not been able to afford the steep price.  I retired and moved into a house with a full basement where my old refrigerator will be turned into a keg beer dispenser while the top freezer will continue to make and store ice.  A full sized chest freezer is also located in the basement which completely deletes the need for a freezer compartment in the kitchen.  What a beautiful piece of machinery!  19.5 feet ALL REFRIGERATOR!  What a dream!  I can only hope that it continues to run as well as its Frigidaire predecessors.  By the way,  I may be going deaf with old age? but the loud noise does not bother me.  Actually, it is nice to hear my power company $ being spent.  If absolute quiet is necessary in your life, this may not be the toy for you.  I did not put on the nice expensive heavy duty casters but have saved them for another project down the road.   

Very pleased with this purchase. Using as a beverage fridge in basement utility room. Couple of pros and cons for prospective buyers: - The appearance is very professional and not at all industrial, i.e., it looks a lot more like a glass door subzero than a 7-Eleven display fridge. People will think you spent much more. - The glass door is the best feature. You can see at a glance what you've got and what you need, without opening the door and rummaging around. Also, no wasted space for a freezer if you don't need one. - Comes with 5 metal racks which are sturdy and attractive. Be sure to use the V-shaped clips that come in a separate box to mount the shelves. The flattened fasteners protruding from the mounting rails could be easily mistaken for shelf supports, with potentially disastrous results. - Shelf space is vast and versatile. You can easily fit multiple cases of beer, wine, water, large milk containers etc. The amount of space is far more than you would get in a standard consumer fridge of the same size rating - there is no space used by a freezer, drawers, or door storage. - The wheels are user installed, but there is no need to use them at all in a residential setting (the feet can be leveled without them). Losing the wheels can save you some height and make your installation look more built in. - Biggest issue is a moderate level of broad spectrum noise which might preclude use in a living space such as a kitchen or basement bar. I measure the operating noise at just under 40dB at 1 meter, which is more noticeable than a standard residential fridge, and unlike a standard household fridge, the fan runs constantly (compressor kicks on and off, but doesn't increase dB all that much). The noise is not too annoying and it doesn't make the loud compressor buzz you might expect from a 7-Eleven-type display fridge. In my experience, this fridge looks and works great in a spare room like a utility room, but I wouldn't want it in the same room where I watch TV or entertain. In all, very happy with the product and haven't seen anything like it in the price range.

We are extremely pleased with this purchase. We placed the refrigerator in our garage and it is very useful and stylish. The capacity is amazing and the beverages are cold! It is nice too look at as well. I ordered it on a Tuesday and it arrived that Saturday! We are very happy.

This product works very well, but when a customer of mine bumped into the fridge, the button on her pants scratched it. It looks and functions very nicely though. I've had it running full blast, outside in the heat of the summer, in Houston, since May 19, 2007, and it hasn't developed any problems. I'm sure I won't have to buy another refrigerator for many years to come. As a proud gourmet restraunt owner, I recommend this product.
