Good kegerator
Great for use as a kegerator.. fits a 1/2 + 1/6 barrel or 3 1/6 barrels
Black color is also nice so it doesnt look like an appliance.

Kenmore went cheap in a bad way
This freezer is fragile--I do not recommend anyone buying this freezer. I bought this with the intention of owning it for years but unfortunately it only took a few weeks for a guest in my house to set a one-year-old baby on the lid and cause it to dent. The dent is close to the edge of the lid and causes the corner and the seal to pull up letting the cold air out. If you buy this product make sure you put caution signs on the lid warning everyone to treat the lid with kid gloves. I had read reviews mentioning how the lid could dent, but I thought people were complaining about minor cosmetic dents because I thought Kenmore would have a higher standard of product. It would have been a minimal additional cost to make the lid out of a heavier gauge sheet metal and use torque hinges with a greater assist in lifting the lid. Now I have to look into how to fix or replace the lid.

Died without warning after less than 2 years along with 1/4 of a beef. Bought this one because of the warning alarm. The alarm didn't work. Will never buy again!

The freezer is a great freezer. It did have a small scratch in the front, but not a big deal. Works great so far. Hopefully it last a long time. Got a great deal on it. It was already on sale when we bought it, but 5 days later it went on sale for cheaper, so we called Sears and they gave us the difference back, which was almost $42.00. All together with both sales and a promo code we saved over $230.00 on this freezer. Great deal.

we purchased this freezer in 2011, it worked well for the first year. It died right before the warranty ended, so they did fix it (getting them to understand it was still in warranty was another issue). BUT that fix only lasted 6 more months. no more warranty. I would not recommend this freezer, because it only works well for a year. No more kenmore produsts for me

Chest Freezer for use in garage
Bought this chest freezer for use in garage along with our very old upright freezer. Actually fit 1/2 beef in the chest freezer, filled it up, but it fit! Really like the fact that there is an alarm. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the outer finish is a bit flimsy and will dent easily, has nothing to do with performance.

Ordered by phone from local store; delivered as promised; in carton & upright but jostled getting to door because of long distance from street over gravel driveway so waited over 24 hrs before plugging in (to let Freon settle, based on reading previous reviews); placed frozen foods in when cooled to 8 degrees in upper basket; maintaining 8 on top & 2 degrees on bottom after 3 days of use; replacement for a 35+ year old Kenmore! Excellent job of delivery and haul away too.
