Kenmore  7 cubic foot Chest Freezer

This is a great freezer for someone that doesn't have a large area for freezers. But does have plenty of space inside to hold lots of food for one or two people. Just the right size. good price for this item. I would recommend it to any one that doesn't require larger freezer space. Many with large family's might require a larger freezer. The first freezer that I had purchased from sears is still operating very well. I gave that one to my son his family is bigger than mine is now. This one will last as many years as my first one has I'm sure of it. Same brand just smaller

Nice unit with good features. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. Bought two of them, and both doing well. Best price over competitor equivalents.

Purchased this from the Brea, CA store on 07/24/2011. Was great until it started making clicking sounds by 05/15/2013. By 05/29/2013 is was dead. Sears Service man was out today and estimated it would cost approx. $600.00 to repair including labor. Said no thank you. Will never buy another product from Sears again. Their quality has deteriorated so much over the past several years.

We bought this little freezer on sale for $180. It fit perfectly in our small laundry/utility room. Worked great...for 30 months. Ya. Two and a half years of use. I came home from a week long trip to find all my frozen food thawed, ruined, and a 2" deep mess in the bottom. If you buy this freezer, just don't expect it to last very long.

I bought this cute little freezer at our local Sears store. I was told there was only one left in stock. The price was very reasonable and the unit is the perfect size for our small home. It was lightweight and very easy to set up. We had quite a surprise after we installed it. Before plugging in the unit, the lid opened easily. After just ten minutes of cooling time, the lid sealed shut so tight that was impossible to open. We called Sears and were told that we should unplug it, wait a few minutes, then try to open it. Further, if it locked tight again after cooling, then the product would need servicing! We returned the item and received another. The replacement freezer is also sealing shut like a tomb. We will return this one also. I am very upset!!!!

I loved this freezer. It didn't ice over, was quiet, and was the perfect size. It worked great until it started running hot. Then it quit cooling all together. Purchased in July 2011, defrosted once in Nov. 2012. Died in April 2013. I expected better from Kenmore! What surprises me is I was looking at my paperwork and saw that the mfg date was May 2004! Was this freezer sitting in a box for 7 years when I bought it??!! Makes you wonder!

Was very disappointed in the Kenmore freezer. I have bought & trusted the Kenmore brand for over 30 years, now I need to replace this freezer & am very leery of choosing another Kenmore

We loved this freezer and everything about it worked as expected until one day, about 16 months into running it, it died. We came home and we found our wood floor under it warped and soaking with rotted meat juice. We were so disappointed. The electrical still clicks on and off but the compressor doesn't engage. What a waste of money! The warranty only was for 1 year. We've had such bad luck with Sears products and services and plan to never return.

Great freezer does what it should. Quiet also

We bought this Kenmore chest freezer in January 2013, because Kenmore usually has high quality items and a good reputation. Not even three month later, the freezer quick working. We lost $600-$700 worth of food. The freezer was still under warranty, but because we did not pay for the EXTRA warranty they did not cover the food, only the thermostat that was bad. The freezer ended up costing way more than $200. I learned my lesson. Next purchase will be from a private business that covers food loss at no extra charge and that provides better quality items!
