This is one great freezer.
We love this freezer. The noise level is average and hardly noticable. The features and the space are great and I couldn't find anything close for the $670. It looks great and we like the temperature display on the front to reassure you that all is well. We would recommend this freezer to any family that wants to buy bulk and store it all in one place. A great money saver in power, too. You can't go wrong unless you have a library quiet household and then you might notice the compressor cycling. The adjustable shelves make for easy storage of just about everything. She loves the ice cream storage shelf. Talk about easy to scoop, the temp. is perfect.
Bottom line; We did some research and this was the best bang for the buck that we could find at the time. Enough said.

Runs & Runs & Runs
After delivery and plug in , freezer started lowering tempature
rapidly. But , eighteen hours later it stopped at our 8 degree setting .
It took a breather for 20 minuttes and started again , cycling on & off the rest of the night . The next morning
we lowered the temp 3 degrees and 5 hours later it stopped again and started cycling on & off again .
I called the help line and was told this was normal for the
energystar appliances ! And , yes you can hear it running
from the next room . If you are looking for an appliance
that runs all the time , this is the one for you !
If you see a energystar sticker on something -- RUN Away!

Excellent so far
We have had this unit for about a month. We got a really good pricing deal and feel that we definitely got our money's worth and a good value. There are a bunch of features for this freezer that are great. We had this freezer filled with over 500+ lbs of beef within days of getting it home and have had no issues to date.

This is a nice freezer with lots of room. However, it is much louder when running than our 24 year old freezer. That was somewhat suprising to me.

Outstanding Appliance
I read numerous online reviews before purchasing this freezer. I admit I had reservations about the noise complaints and compressor issues. I purchased this unit anyway, installed it an empty bedroom with lots of clearance; and have no complaints about the compressor noise when running. This freezer works great, and I am pleased with the number of times the compressor actually needs to kick-in.

Can you love a kitchen appliance? YES!!!
This upright freezer is so much better than my previous chest type. The pull out baskets make it easier to stay organized and waste less because nothing gets lost on the bottom. The glass shelves are more "stable" than the wire kind, so things don't fall over....YAY! The door shelves/trays are easily adjusted. The special ice cream drawer is also a nice feature. We ordered it on Sunday evening and it came in on Wednesday. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Very Unreliable
For the third time this freezer has went out in one years time. It says the temperature is 0 degrees however nothing put in yesterday has frozen and the ice cream has thawed out. Sears says it has to happen again before they will replace it. **I actually did not even want to give it a rating because it doesn't even rate one star**

Should have gotten an upright years ago.
I had a Kenmore more than 20 years old and its a top notch freezer but its a chest freezer and because of its age, I know its not energy efficient. Sears had a super great price on this so I went ahead and upgraded. I love, love, love this freezer. Its laid out fanstastic with the shelve for my pizzas, the baskets, the ice cream keeper. Its quiet, sleek and so well designed. The only thing I have an issue with is that I fill it up so quickly, I may have to get another one. Its so wonderful to be able to see what I have in my freezer. I would recommend this to myself, my friends are on their own, lol!

Quit working after 12 months and 2 weeks
Freezer quit working after 12 months and 2 weeks. What's worse is Sears customer service and Sears service technician repair schedule. The soonest Sears could come to fix it was 25 days. They wouldn't schedule service until the parts were received at my door delaying getting the freezer fixed. This is an expensive freezer that is NOT built to last. Buyer beware.
