Pleased with purchase
I ordered a Kenmore because of the reputation of the name and this item because it had an energy star rating. The delivery men arrived 10 minutes early, were efficient, and took all garbage with them. Within The delivery men told me it would take up to five hours for the freezer to reach zero degrees. Within two hours it was at zero. There is hardly any noise produced by the freezer and have not experienced any problems with the freezer. I am very happy with my purchase.

Dead in18 months
Puchased this freezer in January of 2011 from the online reviews. It died on 7/13/2012. A new product should last for more than 18 months. I will cost over $900 to repair, more then the cost of the freezer. Sears shouild stand behind their products for more than 1 year.

Bought this freezer week of Christmas 2012
Very pleased with this freezer, quiet running( located in utility room beside our kitchen). Love the shelves and the adjustability. Haven't filled it yet but used the quick freeze right away to reach the 0 degrees quickly. Hope it lasts a long time.

Elite 16.7 Upright Freezer
Purchased after careful consideration of others reviews. Any Frost free freezer will be louder than a manual defrost freezer. I would compare the noise output to the sound of someone taking a shower from another room. If that annoys you than you may want to go with a manual defrost. We have two children so its not like you can hear the freezer over all their racket anyway. Not near as loud as my Brother in-laws Frigidaire. Plenty of space to keep stuff. Seems to be of the quality you've come to expect from a Kenmore Elite brand.

Good product, lots of added valuable features
Generally easy to pickup and unload saving delivery charges from store to home. Problem I had was with the unpacking and assembly directions provided! Assistance on-line is practically non-existent. Tools required are WRONG and two items that came with freezer are mysteries - what they are for and how to install them! (Being a retired marine engineer who was raised on a farm I have considerable experience with appliances and machinery - Sears manuals of the past which were EXCELLENT are long gone, sad to say.) Would rethink not having it delivered and set up; however, doubt it the items received I'd ever know about as they would probably disappear.
