Samsung  24.1 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator -Stainless Steel  ENERGY STAR®

After extensive research both online and in multiple stores this fridge was head and shoulders above the rest, and at 24 cu ft it is about the biggest available in counter depth.  First, lets talk about the features...it has dual compressers allowing the fridge and freezer to operate independently from one another.  This means that the cold air does not circulate between the two sides so fridge odors from leftovers will not make your ice cubes and ice cream taste funny.  Also, the temp stays very constant on both sides so ice crystals do not form on the food in the freezer.  Additionally, if one side "fails" you do not lose all the food in the fridge.  Second is the lighting and shelf spacing.  The unit features LED lighting, which not only uses less energy but illuminates the interior much better.  I have noticed that the top shelf, when placed in its highest position (which still leaves room for gallon milk and OJ, etc...) leaves more space between the lower shelves.  This makes it incredibly easy to see everything inside the fridge.  The interior lights also come on gradually which adds to the upscale feel of the fridge.  Compared to my last GE Proifile fridge (died twice in 5 years) this one is much quieter.  The only time I can even hear it is when the ice maker drops some ice in to the hopper.  It has a built in water filter system that makes the water taste great (I have well water) while also actually chilling the water.  The electronic touch pad is easy to use and makes a soft techno-beep sound when making selections...again, an upscale feel.  All the drawers are large and the deli/cheese drawer is bigger than most which is great for blocks of cheese or larger items.  The unit has a door alarm should a door remain open for over 2 minutes (great with kids), and has both a Power Cold feature for fast ice making and cooling when arriving home with groceries, and a Power Saver mode that reportedly saves on energy consumption. 

The freezer is huge for a side by side.  It will hold a standard frozen pizza laid flat and offers shelving all the way to the top of the fridge as the ice maker is completely housed inside the freezer door.  This design leaves much more room for freezer storage however the tradeoff is a smaller ice hopper.  It has not been a problem for my family of four which has had plenty of ice at hand.  The stainless exterior looks great and is the same color as all the other manufacturers, however it appears darker online for some reason.  Rest assured it will match your other stainless appliances...

Downside?...not a great choice if you want TONS of ice.  The wine rack that comes with the unit takes up too much room inside so I removed it (wine bottles can stand up in the door).  The drawers in the fridge do not slide as effortlessly as I would like, however they are large and do a fine job of housing food items.  The water dispenser is a little slow but nothing that you cannot live with.

For the money, size,  overall look and features this easily beat out the Bosch, LG and GE (GE has repair nightmares, just Google and you'll see).  Good luck...
