It is nothing fancy, I do NOT like how you turn off the ice maker. You must remove the whole ice box and remove another panel to turn off the ice maker. The panel on the front where you get your water, ice, etc. is very nice. But all in all is seems very cheap.

The refrigerator works fine for keeping food cold. The freezer is also fine except for the usual thing with side-by-side units: you can't put anything wide in the freezer. The icemaker does not make ice very fast unless you put it on the "ultra-ice" setting for a few days in a row. The ice dispenser tends to spit ice out on the floor unless you have a large receptacle. It is difficult to get just the right amount of ice in a glass or a cup without some going onto the floor. A VERY disappointing thing is the icons for the dispenser do not light up to indicate crushed, water, or cubes. They are dark icons on black and can't be read. You have to memorize the positions. A light comes on over each position as you push the selection pad. If you have guests, they will not be able to get their own ice without assistance. Apparently there are two types of icons on this model refrigerator. Type 1 and Type 2. What I have described is Type 1. I made a label to ID the settings,

I would honestly suggest that you NOT purchase this fridge. I would suggest that you DO purchase this fridge if you plan to replace it in 5 months. I purchased this fridge in Jan of 2011 and the repair team has been to my house to fix it approximately five times. It does not keep the food cold unless you turn it up to 5 and when you do that, half of the food is frozen solid. Before I purchased, I read reviews and saw the poor reviews. I thought "some people are never satisfied" I purchased it anyhow and now two years later, I'm back to apologize to those people and I'm stuck with a fridge that doesn't work. Buyer beware.

I have owned this refrigerator for almost three years now. After a year and a half we noticed rust forming at the bottom of the water dispenser where the water dispenser sits in the door, at the seal. Apparently there was some leak. There is a design flaw in the fridge causes the water to collect at the bottom seal area making the metal under the seal to rust. With our warranty we had the door switched out but the same problem happened. In my life I have never see a fridge rust, so this was quite shocking to me. ALWAYS buy a warranty esp. when purchasing a fridge with a water dispenser and ice maker. That was the main reason I gave it a 1 rating. To add, plastic parts easily brake (but were covered under warranty). Ice does dump out and the second door we got the light was dimmer than the door it came with. Also, the replacement door was taller than the fridge. Black finished is easily scratched.

Replaced my previous 25.4 side by side with this model. Due to the efficient design, I really don't notice much difference in capacity. This model seems more recent in design and the features are more modern. Had to exchange item that was originally delivered. Experience with Sears customer service could only be described as a nightmare!

It's not a bad fridge if you're confined to shorter heights. Fairly good space on the fridge side, a bit small on the freezer side. The water dispenser is slow and the ice is made slowly, even if set to "ultra ice" which is supposed to make it as fast as possible. All in all, it works for a family of 2 or 3, more than that, get a bigger fridge.

hi all wanted to really get in a review to talk about the water system i see a lot of people have issues with water pressure, so im going to post what i learned. 1) if you do not feel comfortable with tools and potentially drenching your house, let a professional set it up 2) you have to test the water system as you hook it up, i found that the valve that I bought with the kit was cr@p, I had to open it up and cut off the pintle that punctures the water pipe by test I mean i. start with the water pipe, I would suggest drilling the pipe, even if your system is self tapping, the self tapping systems orifice seems too small turn off the water line hook up your system get a bucket turn water back on and dump into a bucket - if the flow is what you want out of your fridge is there, good ii. once you know that the valve works, now hook up the tubing test again iii. i and ii work and you now hook it up to the fridge and are not getting enough water, then its the fridge, call sears to fix
