It's nice but needs more shellves in both fridge and freezer. August 28, 2009
We really like our new Kenmore refrigerator. It is a little noisy but all in door ice makers are about the same. Our only concern was the lack of enough shelves in the fridge section. We only received 3 shelves and that was not enough, we had to purchase another shelf for a total of $77.57 to make it complete. We don't know if maybe we were short changed or if it only came with 3 shelves but 4 shelves fit just right and give us alot more room. I just wish we could add more shelves in the freezer as we only have about half the freezer space that we had in our old Kenmore freezer.

Poor Maintenance Performance September 22, 2009
This is essentially a Gen Electric refrigator. The cooling on the frig side is controlled by a damper door that fails routinely. If it fails open, the frig will freeze. If it fails closed, the frig will assume room temp. This part costs $90, and can be replaced easily, but the previous model using the same damper would fail every 3 years. This wreaks havoc on the defrost system and will eventually be coupled with the failure of the thermostat. Would I buy it again? N E V E R.

We bought this Kenmore 2 years ago and we love it! I have no clue why the ones with 1-star ratings had such a bad experience (very surprised)...I guess that comes with good care and maintenance :-). However, there is plenty of space, I love the Crisper options. I wish there was a bit more space for freezing, but it does the job. It is very easy to clean; allowing easy access to each self and side compartments (bins) makes it that much better. Did I mention how sturdy it is??? We have never had a problem. We love it!

We bought this about four years ago and the compressor broke several months ago. A technician came and fixed it but it's not working again. Not very satisfied with this Kenmore refrigerator!! Avoid Kenmore referigerators if at all possible.

I've only had this fridge for a few days but I am happy with my purchase. The delivery service was very good - they called a few times to confirm the time and came within a 2 hr window, on a Saturday. The delivery itself was quick yet friendly. The fridge seems very solid and looks great. The only dissappointments are that it does not have a deli drawer (something I thought would be standard. I can order for about $50.), and doh! I need a water line to get the icemaker installed (this is something I should have realized on my own, but a reminder on the product page would have been nice).
