Kenmore  19.7 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator  ENERGY STAR®

I bought this last august. i reviewed it soon after on this site. i complained about the loud weird noises it emits. turns out the delivery man had left the ice machine in the on position even though we had not hooked it up (and still haven't) the fridge was trying to make ice for a non-existing ice maker. since turning it off the weird noises have stopped and i like it much better. i still wish: they had added one more freezer door shelf, that the top door opened easier if you need to open it again right after closing it you practically have to put your foot up and pull it seals so tightly, and that it would take longer to start beeping that you left the door open. otherwise i'm happy with the roominess, the lighting, them tempatures and my cats only occasionally come and stare under it.

I bought this refrigerator 7 months ago and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.....I love it!!! I had originally purchased a lesser value one from Sears and was unhappy with it. Sears was very easy to work with on the exchange and I decided to go with this higher priced bottom freezer type and am so glad I did! I have read many of the reviews about it being noisy but with mine it is super quiet and when it does go on the sound is like a whispering hum that I barely notice it! The temp is perfect and have never had a problem in either the fridge or freezer section! I realize clearly nothing will replace the way refrigerator's were once made as so many of the other reviewers remarked but I have to say I love this new fridge way more than the 32 year old Kenmore that was hauled away to make room for my new purchase!!

LOUD! High pitch buzz and almost never stops running. If it happens not to be running: open the door--it will start running the moment you shut it. Poor engineering design. Cheap main handle. Very hard to open main door. We should have kept our really nice and quiet Sears Kenmore 2006. We only bought this disappointing refrigerator because we needed a "bottom freezer" refrigerator.

Even temp everywhere in fridge. Works quietly. Needs to be set to 5 instead of 4 in fridge to be consistently in food safe zone.

Very noisy, and it stays on all the time. Very sorry I bought it.

Worst refrigerator ever. I specifically wanted a quiet refrigerator because my kitchen is next to my living room. This refrigerator is always on and is very loud. I wish I had kept my old refrigerator. Do not believe the review that says the owner had to stand next to the refrigerator to see if it was on.

This refrigerator is exactly the right size for my home. It runs quietly and is well lit. Everything in the refigerated portion is in eye site and easy to find. The freezer basket pulls out easily. The techs delivered it with no problems even though I had the door handles reversed.

The quality of this Kenmore model is clearly so much less than that of the Kenmore model I bought 10 years ago at my previous home. So much more plastic, the doors are thinner, which likely means less insulation, and despite my referencing the manual, I can't figure out where the coils are to to brush for cleaning. They don't seem to be under the frig as the earlier model I have. Also, unlike my previous model,it's a major struggle to pull the frig out for cleaning. Sears delivery brought it out and set it up, while I was gone. So I couldn't see how they moved it, etc. My biggest complaint is the freezer. You must be REALLY careful about making sure the bottom basket is pushed back all the way and not too many food items on top shelf or else the door will not close all the way!! Many times it happened where I or my teens closed the upper door only to have the freezer door bounce open!! This never happened with the older model!!

My refrigerator was 25 yrs old and sadly was dieing.We shopped all over town and found the best deal at Sears. The frig is not quiet as big as I wanted. I am not completely happy with the spacing of it. seems we have trouble getting the big items on the shelves. You may say move the shelves. Problem then is there too close together. really of little use so close together. Is it too much to need space for 4 gallon jugs? Sure glad I don't have a large family it would not work! On the other hand hope it last half as long as the old one. I'd be happy. Not really sure about the drawer style freezer since I have items in it. Little harder to pack in than I expected. Still unsure about it?

The first thing that happened to this frig was some spilled milk caused the compressor to break but luckily it was still under warranty or it would have cost $600+ to repair. What really bothers me about this frig though is the plastic is breaking everywhere! The bottom door shelf broke. I replaced that but then the plastic on the door that holds the shelf broke too. All Three of the drawers have cracked in back including the cold cut drawer. The humidity knobs for both drawers have broken off and the plastic which projects out to hold the glass shelf that covers the veggie drawers has also broken. The plastic that surrounds one of the small glass shelves broke off of the front of the shelf. Neither the cheap plastic that holds that door shelf nor the shelf that holds the glass shelf that covers the drawers can be repaired so Sears has given me a generous voucher to replace this catastrophe. Otherwise, with new compressor it runs well and is laid out well.
