    Great space inside, looks beautiful. May 04, 2011

    We have had our fridge for two weeks now and we love it. We went from a traditional freezer on top, fridge on bottom to the French Door style and we really like it. One of the reasons we chose it was for the ice-maker in the door, rather than down in the freezer drawer. It is nice that you can remove the ice holder basket from inside the door, if you need to dump ice out. You do lose a little space in the door, but the convenience more than makes up for it.

    The major drawback we have found is that the cup holder in the door is fairly small, and only fits our regular "glass" cups, and not the larger plastic ones we drink out of most of the time.

    So far we are really enjoying our new fridge, we are having trouble filling it up! It fit in our tight space well, and it really has enhanced the look of our kitchen. Plus, we purchased it one sale, and with one-year no interest financing, so the price was workable for us.

    Sears repair process is horrible January 06, 2011

    My Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator was first plugged in 10-15-2010. In mid December 2010 the digital display went bad leaving me unable to change selection between water, ice types, or adjust the refrigerator and freezer temperature. I called in the the problem then waited a week for a service technician to arrive at the very end of the 4 hour window. He then sat in his truck for another 25 minutes before ringing my door bell. He evaluated the problem and said he needed to order parts. After 5 days the parts arrived and I called in the schedule another appointment. The earliest possible appointment would be 5 days from the time I called. Today 1-5-2011 was the big day I finally get my refrigerator repaired. The technician arrived 25 minutes after the 4hr arrival window, replaced the parts which didn't fix the problem. More parts were ordered, now I have to wait a few days for the parts to arrive before calling to schedule another appointment then waiting another 5 days before a technician can arrive.

    We needed a little smaller refrigerator but didn't want to compromise on features so we bought the Kenmore Elite 24.7 with the water and ice and couldn't be happier, plenty of storage space and the bottom freezer is perfect for our needs. Work as we expected.

    Have had this unit for about a month, happy with it so far. Love the style, looks great in the kitchen. Would like if it had one more drawer for meats, maybe I can order one? Also the space for the water to be filled is very limited, dont even think about putting a tall glass under there. Oh well, still great fridge.

    Cons:
    water dispensed is not always cold

    A compliment to your kitchen in any finish, we bought the stainless. Apart from the fingerprints showing and the outside dispenser being a little small we love it. Our Sears salesperson was instrumental in our choice, explaining every feature. Looking forward to many years of energy saving and knowing we are helping the enviroment at the same time.     Pros:
    Alarms when doors are left open,Lots of space,All shelves slide out for easy access,Value for Dollars,fast ice production,energy saving feature,All glass shelves in refrigerator,No wire baskets in freezer,Blue lighting,Excellent operation
    Cons:
    Doors tend to remain open

    Excellent refrigerator overall.  I have no qualms with the freezer; cooling is fast, excellent ice production, and ergonomic construction.  My only con is that unlike many other refrigerators, the doors have to be pushed closed and unless one is careful, the doors tend to remain open.  Somehow, this is a defect that needs to be fixed.  Kids and fast-paced adults normally don't take the time to push the doors closed...
