    Very happy with our Kenmore SS French Door and Cleaning tip! April 09, 2011

    We have really liked our Kenmore SS refrigerator. We had a bottom freezer previously and loved it, so we knew we wanted another one. We didn't want water and ice in the door and so this was a great option! I didn't think the LED lighting was that big of a deal, but it really does make the fridge much brighter and there isn't a big hot light bulb getting in the way of the top shelf. Also, our last fridge didn't have the alarm and it has been really nice since the kids sometimes forget to shut the doors all of the way.

    Everything seems to fit really well and we moved up from a 22.2 cu ft. to this 25 cu ft, but it seems like there is a lot more room, especially in the freezer. The ice maker has a very large capacity, which is nice. The ice maker is louder than our previous fridge, but in a house of kids, noise isn't a huge issue.

    A cleaning tip I learned several years ago with our first Stainless Steel appliances is to use baby oil. Clean the surface of the appliance with hot water on a rag (I use a steamer) and wipe dry. Then take a small amount of baby oil on a dry cloth and wipe over the entire surface. It makes every appliance shine like brand new. I have been doing this for 5 years now and it works wonders! I keep a bottle of baby oil in my kitchen just for my appliances.

    If you like warm beer you'll love this refrigerator April 07, 2011

    This refrigerator has digital controls. The minimum temperature you can set in the refrigerator section is 33 degrees. The actual temperature inside the refrigerator when it's set at 33 degrees varies between 37 and 39 degrees! If you from England and like warm beer then this is the refrigerator for you. Luckily they have 90 day satisfaction guarantee. I'll be returning it for another brand. It's made by LG.

    We recently upgraded to stainless steel appliances, and this refrigerator was our first selection. I love the stainless look, and especially admire the LED lighting inside. The refrigerator is very roomy and the adjustable shelves make it possible to fit everything you need inside. The bottom freezer drawer is roomy, and very smooth opening and closing. Yes, fingerprints happen, but are easily taken care of with the stainless steel wipes, so a minor inconvenience in my book. We are very happy with this purchase!

    Owned for over a year now but just got installed in January. Bought on sale and waited for a remodel project to get wrapped up. Still tinkering with shelf placements but it has more than adequate space. The bottom freezer is a joy to use. Wish we'd gone french sooner!

    We wanted a water dispenser inside the door & this model had it. The handles very closely match the handles on our new Kenmore range and dishwasher. Food is kept very cool and the "door ajar: alarm has already saved me by alerting me when the door was left open.

    Huge

    I was very happy with this product until after only 3 years we experienced a warm freezer & refrigerator--and after having the repair man out to the house-- we were informed that the copper tubing had corroded and would cost around $965 to repair and then it still may not work properly---Returning to Sears to ask for some customer satisfaction --to be once again dissappointed!!!!  I have since been informed that this Kenmore /Maytag refrigerator has 4 other people in our little Anchorage Community with the exact same copper tubing issues!!!! After calling the manufacturer we were all informed that at this time there has been no recalls !!!  I really believe companies should stand behind the products that they sell, and most importantly there should be some sort of customer satisfaction---WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
