Love this Fridge! March 08, 2011
We received this fridge a week ago and so far so good. We have had a french door fridge before but without the ice maker on the door. So I was a little worried about losing space for storage up top in the fridge part. But much to my surprise there is still plenty of room . I love the shelves that fold up and slide back. Great for those tall bottles that were lying on their side in the last fridge. I also like that the water dispenser shoots the water out at an angle (back towards the fridge) so that it goes in the glass the right way. And our tall cups fit under the dispenser. Nothing more annoying than the cup not fitting all the way into the slot. The only annoyance I have right now is the ice dispenser you have to push extra hard to signal the ice and it's not the biggest ice storage box. But I'm the only one that really uses ice in the house so it won't be a huge deal for us until summer hits. As much as I love the stainless steel look I don't like the fingerprints. Lots of little fingerprints all over my fridge. Oh and one more thing.... we purchased our unit from the Sears Outlet and were told it was a brand new unit only one tiny little ding that you really couldn't see. So after they delivered I peeled off the remaining plastic and found a few more little tiny dings in the freezer door. So make sure you peel off all plastic before the guys leave your house.

Bought Samsung refrigerator a few weeks ago. February 28, 2011
Bought this refrigerator 6 weeks ago. Already having problems. It is not maintaining temperature. Called for maintenance and was told had to wait 3 days. We thought this would never happen to a brand new refrigerator. Had an Kitchen Aid for 16 years before it had a problem. We only had one minor problem with it after twelve years of service. Very disappointed with this Samsung and very unhappy with having such a wait for service.

Beautiful, spacious & well-litCons:
Ice maker is loud in dropping ice.,Small ice storage,Inferior productWe loved this refrigerator when we first got it. At 3 months the ice maker quit working. The ice maker was replaced. At 4 months the freezer stopped working. The coil was replaced. 2 weeks later freezer quit working again, mother board was replaced. 2 months later freezer got warm and all the ice cream melted. The compressor was replaced. This morning 9 months aftr the last service call we awoke to a warm freezer full of spoiled food. This time we were told it is irrepairable. There is a freon leak the technicians cannot find.
The service folks have been fantastic I have no complaints. Sears called me this evening to renew my service agreements and they let me know the warranty runs out at midnight. I renewed and they are sending me a voucher for a new fridge...I can promise it will not be a Samsung.

No cons, it's perfect!I debated about getting a frig without water in the door. I finally decided I could put a water pitcher in a frig this big and be better off. It is the best decision I have ever made. I have learned to keep many more fresh fruits and veggies because of the space for them. This frig is really an awesome purchase

No cons, it's perfect!Even the freezer compartment has a lot of space! We had this item for almost a year and just recently replaced the water filter. I love the energy saving button! We can set it to sav energy when we go on trips! Additionally, the power freeze button is great too!
