Samsung  28 cu. ft. French-Door Refrigerator w/ Counter-Height Drawer - Stainless Steel  ENERGY STAR®

We were initially reluctant to get a French door style refrigerator, as we didn't like the thought of having to open both doors just to find something in the refrigerator section. But after using it, we found that it is not a big deal, as you can see pretty much everything with one door open. We find the refrigerator drawer to be extremely useful for beer, soda and wine storage- and it's really easy to get to. The freezer drawer is large, and nicely divided. The in-door ice and water dispenser is the best we ever had! And to top it off, the unit is extremely quiet- we don't ever notice it, and it is in a kitchen/great room area where we spend a lot of time.

I tried about 4-5 different thermometers all with nearly identical readings of approx. 38-40? in lower door. I have managed to get milk down to 37.5? at the 34? coldness setting and checking it first thing in the morning, but it rises to 39-40? thru-out the day. It's fine around 36? if kept in middle of fridge. Exasperated I was and embarrassed as I'd assured my other half that Samsung was making great strides in the appliance area. I finally contacted Samsung after a little web searching thinking the temp sensor is probably faulty. Incredulously I was told as long as temp fits in their 34? - 46? degree range then there is no problem? I said no, my understanding is that means refrigerator can be set between 34? and 46? and I can assure you there's a problem. No, I was told and if food is cold I should be happy.

Have this fridge for 1.5 yrs, love the size . . . but milk always sour before the expiry date, cheese molding, leftovers didn't last. Rationalized all these things. 'must be leaving the milk out too long', 'must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese' etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, and it must be accurate, right? WRONG! Verification by 3 separate mercury &digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg, and that's in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!) In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! We have a Sears Master Protection Agreement. Now we are getting the run-around with Sears service. It has been 2 full months, they have been out 3 times, scheduled for a 4th visit in 2 weeks. Were originally told it is a factory defect (missing some valve) and now the story has changed, have replaced the main board, and next the touch screen. Will update if ever fixed.Freezer & drawer cool good

Purchased this refrigerator for our newly remodeled kitchen and not happy. A week after we got it we noticed the bottom freezer drawer was not closing all the way. Called Sears and had a repairman come out. Right away he knew what was wrong and said that a lot of these Samsung models were having the same problem. Here it is not even 2 years later, and we are now experiencing the same problem! Not only that, but the ice maker does not produce much ice. Basically, if you plan on entertaining, plan on purchasing ice. For a refrigerator of this expense and size you would think that was a given.

This is my dream fridge! I wanted the deli drawer and it's GREAT! The strangest part is the moveable rack in the drawer...it doesn't stay in place so I used a twist tie to keep it where I wanted it. I think my favorite thing about the fridge, though, is the lighting and the ability to push back and lift a couple of the shelves, making it easy to have lots of different-sized items in your fridge! Freezer has lots of room too! Ice maker is loud but not any more so than my last one...not a big deal. The water dispenses at LIGHTNING speed! LOVE that as we drink a lot of water in our family! Be prepared for fingerprints but all it takes is a wipe with some vinegar water and a dry towel and you're good to go. Fridge and freezer have a default temperature that we needed to turn up a degree..ice cream was frozen solid! Best of all, this fridge looks gorgeous in my kitchen!

Having owned this refrigerator for over two months now, I'm not in love with it, and would change a few things: (1) there's not nearly enough storage for tall items. Drawers seem really close together, and the door compartments don't handle tall bottles, unless you put them in the milk bin; (2) the water line is flimsy and attached at the top of the fridge in the back - it kinks about every other week, and we have to pull out the fridge and un-kink it to get the water going again; (3) I wish the pull out drawer was a freezer, not a refrigerator; if we start to store stuff there, we forget it's there; (4) it's noisy - I'm always checking to see if the door is ajar because the motor is loud; and finally (5) the two top doors don't close easily - they catch right before they seal... It's constantly beeping at us that the door is ajar! Other than that, it's really pretty, makes ice well, keeps cold, and does what a refrigerator should do!! Got it for a great price on Black Friday!

Love our 28 cu ft. Samsung French-door refrigerator. The drawers are so handy.

The recovery time on the ice maker is unbelievably slow. I don't know if there is a fix for this or not. Other than that I am happy with the unit .

There is so much more room inside and we love the lunch meat drawer.The lighting inside makes everything easier to see

Prettiest refrigerator ever! We love the center drawer, it makes so much good sense and we love the sliding basket section in the freezer drawer. It is a bit of a challenge organizing things because there is not as much room up top no matter what the cubic feet measure indicates. We have had an occasional drip with the water dispenser but it not a problem yet. We love the fact that there is a filter for the water because we live in an area with problem water. Matter of fact, our water gets filtered twice because the ice maker/water dispenser is fed from our regular filter under the kitchen sink. I am thinking that a large family might have space issues but since there are only three in our household now, we will cheerfully greet it's presence in our kitchen each morning and be thankful.
