The Kenmore Compact Fridge is quiet and space efficient May 07, 2011

I purchased this as a gift for my son at Christmas five months ago. It is ideal for his room where he wanted to keep some personal snacks and drinks. It will be easily transportable when he moves on to college and his own home use later. He has been highly satisfied with his gift.

It has worked as expected with no complications at all. Setup was as easy as plugging it in. We have had no problems with temperature consistency. The capacity is adequate for what we wanted. He can easily fit 2-liters of soda, bags of fruit and other snacks with no problems. The unit is quiet and takes up minimal room.

I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a small compact fridge. We also have a larger compact fridge for our own room use but this is a wonderful fit for the use that one person needs.

Great if you want food poisoning April 26, 2011

This is a terrible product. It is ONLY good for cooling sodas. It actually says, hidden in the instructions - but not in any of the product information online - that this fridge will NOT work properly at room temperatures about 77 degrees F. That means the thing is simply useless in the summer.

If this had been placed in the

      In practice, it's non-functional even at about 70 F.

Even at cool room temperatures, the refrigerator barely achieves 40 degrees F (any warmer than that will guarantee your food will spoil quickly).

At a room temperature of 70 degrees - such as a warm day we had yesterday - the fridge only cools to 50 degrees. If you eat perishable food (say, cold cuts) stored in this fridge for even a few days, you WILL get food poisoning.

It's really shocking that any company could possibly sell such a dangerous product.

This compact refrigerator is convenient to those with handicaps March 25, 2012

This refrigerator can fit most anywhere convenient to those with disabilities needing to have cold beverages on-hand. Having 1 in an upstairs bedroom saves a person having difficulty negotiating stairs. It is really a convenient health-saver!

      Cons:
      does not cool properly.

My husband and I bought this refrigerator on March 4, 2011.  By May, 2011, it was barely cooling anything.  By September, it stopped working completely.  We are very disappointed in it.

Small yet roomy, nice for the office October 05, 2011

By mdusik of Chicago Ridge, IL

My office hydrator. My daily needs for work included a bottle of milk, water and an ice tea. I used to stop at a convenience store every day spending $6 to $8 dollars a day. I realized I was wasting precious dollars by purchasing these items each day, I could buy them in bulk but I had no place to store and chill. I needed something small enough to fit in my office so I could purchase and store my water, milk and tea keeping it cold for the week. The little refrigerator is awesome. Now I purchase my beverage needs for the week on Monday at Kmart for much, much less and my thirst is quenched all week long.
